What good is an ATV without a place to ride it? Listed below are a few excellent places to ride throughout the state. RIDE AREAS

APALACHICOLA NATIONAL FOREST
Bristol, FL

Out of the 195,000 acres they have approximately 80% or trails marked very well. As far as conditions, if it rains it is a loamy riding trail otherwise it is very typical of Florida, dusty. There are many places with mud holes and fast long trails with many switchbacks and many little high speed jumps throughout the park. Also, if you own a utility quad there are many undiscovered or trails not traveled by ATV's just dirt-bikes and Jeep traffic, as all trails that are marked are done so with Jeep, Dirt-bike, and ATV signs. Each trail is two way with about a twelve foot width and is clearly marked not just at the trail heads, but along the trail every 500ft or so. Directions: Heading westbound merge onto the I-10 W via exit 435 toward Tallahassee. Take the SR-263 S exit— exit 196—toward regional airport. Turn left onto FL-263 S/Capital Cir. N., turn right onto Blountstown Hwy/FL-20 W/W. Pensacola St/FL-366 W.  then continue to follow Blountstown Hwy/FL-20 W. turn right onto FL-12.



BIG CYPRESS  NATIONAL PRESERVE
Ochopee, FL

There is a big mixture of trails surrounded by pines and hardwoods. When not riding, the National Preserve is a recreational paradise with camping, canoeing, kayaking and hiking opportunities. The Big Cypress is a state-funded park, so there is overnight camping as well as pubic bathrooms. An operator’s permit, vehicle inspection, and annual vehicle permit are required. Directions: From Orlando merge onto I-4 W via the ramp on the left toward Tampa. Merge onto I-75 S via exit 9 toward Naples. Merge via exit 101 toward SR-84 W/Naples/Marco Island, then turn left onto Tamiami TRL E/US-41 S/FL-90 E.


CROOM MOTORCYCLE AREA
Brooksville, FL

Croom consists of 2600 acres of riding area with terrain ranging from hardwood hammocks and tight scrubs to numerous pits left from discontinued mining operations. Croom is open 365 days a year with very little weather limitations. Permits are required for each ATV. Overnight camping is also available. Directions: It is located 40 miles north of Tampa along I-75 at exit 301 at SR50. Nestled in the Withlacoochee State Forest, enter at the entrance to Quality Inn 100 yards on the right.


HORSE HOLE MUD BOG
Inglis, FL

If you like mud, this place is probably for you. A large mud bogging area for trucks with a designated ATV area with contests and events. No dirtbikes or 3 wheelers allowed. Families weclome as there is a No Drive Area where parents will not have to worry about their children being in danger.

MALLORY SWAMP
Lafayette County, FL 

This is a seasonal riding opportunity for ATVs, offering 38 miles of loop trails on existing forest roads. There is overnight parking and bathrooms. Directions: Head north on the I-275 toward the I-4, then merge onto the I-75 north. Merge onto I-10 W via exit 435 toward Tallahassee. Merge onto the us-90 W/FL-10 W/Mahan Dr. via exit 209a toward Tallahassee. Turn left onto Capital Cir NE/US-319 S/FL-261 S. turn left onto Apalachee Pkwy/US-27/FL-20. Turn right onto Idlewild Dr.


MILTON E. THOMPSON PARK
Miami, FL

Milton E. Thompson Park motocross track is located near the northwest corner of unincorporated Miami-Dade County, at 16665 NW 177th Avenue/State Road 997.  The park is 2 miles south of the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and NW 177th/Krome Avenue/State Road 997, and only 5 miles west of Florida's Turnpike and I-75.  The 1/2-mile long motocross track is located on 40 acres. 

The track has a 15-foot-high bridge jump with tunnel, moguls, jumps, and turns, and is designed for a moderate difficulty level of motocross rider.  Surrounding the motocross track are manmade lakes, live oak and palm trees, and a wetland marsh prairie.

Track time is shared between motocross riders and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) riders.  Motocross lessons are available.  ATV safety classes are also offered at the park, taught by an ATV Safety Institute (ASI) certified instructor.  A restroom building with an observation platform is adjacent to the track. MUD MUCKERS
Bunnell, FL

This is a new ATV park that has opened in Flagler county.It's located in Bunnell,FL between Daytona Beach and Jacksonville. With 19,000 acres of trailriding,Circle Mud track,and mud drag strip we offer overnite camping with hot showers. Every event we have new bands playing on Saturday nights. OCALA NATIONAL FOREST
Ocala, FL

The Ocala National Forest offers a variety of riding opportunities for Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts. OHV trail status can change frequently. Visitors should obtain a map and contact the local ranger district offices or visitor centers to learn site-specific and current information before heading out.

There are three types of motorized opportunities on the forest:

  • off road motorcycle trails (narrow trail),
  • all terrain vehicles (ATV) and off road motorcycles shared use trails (wider trail)
  • mixed-use roads that allow ATV and off road motorcycles use.

Directions: Head north on the I-275 toward the I-4, then merge onto the I-4 E via Exit 45B toward Orlando, and then take the SR-472 W exit. Turn left onto FL-472 W. then turn right onto the CR-4101. Continue to follow CR-410. Turn left onto E New York Ave./FL-44 W. Enter through Deleon Springs, Clermont or Ocala.


OSCEOLA NATIONAL FOREST
Olustee, FL

The Osceola National Forest offers many enjoyable locations to ride ATVs. While the Forest Service has not designated or marked specific ORV trails, there are many unnumbered roads and travel ways that zigzag throughout the forest where you may ride. Directions: Head north on the I-275 toward the I-4, then merge onto the I-75 North. Turn slight right onto FL-10A E. Stay straight to go onto US-90 E/E US-90/FL-10 E. Continue to follow US-90 E, then turn right onto CR-231.


TATES HELL STATE FOREST
Carrabelle, FL

This trail system provides an opportunity to ride ATVs on more than 150 miles of designated trails on existing forest roads. While riding on the trails, forest users can expect to see various ecosystems including swamps, black water rivers and pine Flatwoods. You must have a title and brief vehicle inspection, and there is also a sound-level limit of 96dB, and a USDA Forest Service recognized spark arrester are required to purchase the use permit.  Contact the Division of Forestry’s Carrabelle office for information at (850) 697-3734 or visit the official website for this location at http://floridaohv.org/ohv_locations.html.

3 DAY OHV PASS AND COUNTY LINE OHV CAMPGROUND

The Division of Forestry, Tate’s Hell State Forest, is implementing a pilot project for a $10.00 - three day Off Highway
Vehicle pass. The pass will be available at the Carrabelle Office, Tallahassee Office or at the self-serve iron ranger in the
OHV staging area on Gully Branch Road.

The new County Line OHV Campground is a primitive camping area with non-electric sites and a vaulted restroom centrally located to the three large campsites. The campground is located on County Line Road (off of Highway 67 in Franklin County). Fees are $8.00 per night per site. ** The campground was funded through the T. Mark Schmidt OHV Safety and Recreation Program.

Directions: Head north on the I-75, and take the US-27 N exit toward Williston/Tallahassee. Turn left onto US-27 N/FL-500 N. Continue to follow FL-500 N. Turn right onto US-27 ALT N/N MAIN ST/US-19 N/US-98 N. Continue to follow US-27 ALT N/US-19 N/US-98. Turn left onto W. Hampton Springs AVE/FL-30. Continue to follow FL-30. TRACKS


BARTOW MOTOCROSS PARK
Bartow, FL

Bartow has a one-mile-plus main track, that is lighted and irrigated. The surface ranges from soft to medium pack. The terrain has elevation changes. The jumps are between 35 and 75 feet, and consist of tables, doubles, singles to tables and tables to singles, step-ups and step-downs. There is also an open riding area that is sand, and a Peewee Beginner track. For more information call

Directions: Take the I-4 east toward Orlando, merge onto FL-570 E/Polk Pkwy. via exit number 27 toward Lakeland/Winterhaven (portions toll). Take the US-98 exit, exit number 10. Turn right onto Bartow Rd./US-98 E/FL-35 south. Continue to follow US-98 east. Turn right onto FL-60 W/W. Van Fleet Dr., continue to follow FL-60 west. Turn left onto Century Blvd. then follow it down till it ends at the corner of Century Blvd. The track is on the left.



BOSTWICK CREEK MOTOCROSS PARK
Green Cove Springs, FL

The main track is a rich black dirt, soft loam, and outdoor style track. It is motocross style with plenty of safe and fun jumps to please both the beginner and pro rider. Their Peewee track features a lot of challenges for all levels, various tabletops, bowl turns, singles and big roller hills. There are also wooded area trails with A, B and C loops surrounding the outer edge of the 60 acres.

Directions: From Orlando head North on I-4 and Merge onto I-95 north. Continue until Flagler Beach. Take exit 284, turn west toward Palatka on State Road 100 and follow this to US-17. Head north on US-17 for approximately 20 miles to Sun Garden Road that is a dirt road on the left hand side. Look for the large white nursery buildings on left. This is the county line of Putnam and Clay. Turn left on Sun Garden Rd., go approximately 2.5 miles to the entrance on right, look for the sign at entrance.


DADE CITY RACEWAY
Dade City, FL

There is a night track that is all clay, and well lighted. The day track is combination of clay and sand sections. The facility has permanent bathrooms with showers. No electric, but scattered water outlets for RV hook-ups and bike wash. There are good concessions, and plenty of grandstands with good viewing for night races.  For more information call (352) 588-4697, or check out www.dadecitymx.com.

Directions: Dade City Motocross is located at the Pasco County Fairgrounds off of Hwy 52 in Dade City. From I-75, take Hwy 52 East approximately eight miles. From Hwy 50, take 301 South to Hwy 52 (in the heart of Dade City), turn right on Hwy 52 and follow approximately three miles to Pasco County Fairgrounds.


GATORBACK CYCLE PARK
Gainesville, FL

This track is home to round three of the GNC National. It is a mix of hard pack and sand, has radical elevation changes with plenty of obstacles.  The facility has separate supercross, vintage, and hare scrambles tracks.  Plenty of pit parking with bike wash and some water outlets at south end of pits.  No electric, RV’s should be self-contained.  There are plenty of bleachers, portable restrooms, good food concession and accessory vendors. Directions:  If coming from south of Gainesville on I-75, exit on SR-26 (exit #387).  West on State Road 26 eight miles to NW 202, then North three miles to 46th Ave.  Gatorback is on the left.


HARDROCK CYCLE PARK
Ocala, FL

The main motocross track is two miles long with elevation changes of over 100 feet.  It is a technical, hard pack track with some loamy corners and several uphill step-ups. There is also a hare scrambles course, a sand track, and a peewee track; an Outback track is an intermediate track that is all tabletops and small elevation changes. Their Rollercoaster track is 40 feet wide and is all natural terrain. There are indoor restrooms with showers, and RV water and electric hookups. You can also camp overnight without the RV hookup.  Plenty of pit space, with some trees for those hot summer days.  A parts and accessory shop is on site, which also has snacks and drinks available for practice sessions.  Full food menu is available at all races. Directions: Hardrock Cycle Park is located at the north end of Ocala on C-25A, 3/4 mile south off SR326 (Exit 358 from I-75).


HURRICANE MOTOPLEX
CoCoa, FL

Brevard County's only ATV-UTV Competion Rodeo Arena. It features an obstacle course, barrel race, pole weave, mud pit and key hole. All contestants compete against the clock for points, prizes or money. Come out and test your agility, skills and riding ability. Directions: From I-95: Take I-95 to the Port St. John exit (exit 208) go east to the stop sign which will be Grissom Blvd then turn right onto Grissom Blvd and head south till you get to the stop light which will be Canaveral Groves Blvd. then turn left onto Canaveral Groves Blvd and head east for about a 1/2 mile and on the left hand side will be the Space Coast Community Sports Complex turn left and follow the kart signs to the back and the track will be on the left hand side. From US 1: Take US 1 to Canaveral Groves Blvd., go west on Canaveral Groves Blvd for about 1 mile and on the right hand side will be the Space Coast Community Sports Complex turn right and follow the kart signs to the back and the track will be on the left hand side.


MOTOCROSS OF MARION COUNTY
Reddick, FL

The main track is all clay, and its design is both challenging and fun. The facility has a beautiful, and large pit area that is all grass.  There are large oak trees for shade, grandstands with a view of every inch of the track, concessions, bike wash area and restrooms.  For more information call (352) 591-2377, or check out www.mxmarioncounty.com.

Directions: From South I-75 take exit 71 and go east on Hwy 326 for about two miles. Turn North on Hwy 441 and go seven miles (make sure you stay on Hwy 441), then turn right on Hwy 316 and go approximately 1/2 mile to first paved road and turn right, follow to the track.


MOTOCROSS WORLD
Orlando, FL

The track is a clay-based Motocross/Supercross style track with sweeping berms, tight corners, tabletops, whoops, doubles, triples, and step-ups which provide beginners and skilled riders alike with the best in off-road enjoyment. Directions: From the west side of Florida there are several different options on how to get to MX World. One of the most direct routes is to arrive at 408 from the turnpike (from north) or from I-4 (from south).  Take 408 east until you run into Highway 50. Take Hwy 50 into Bithlo and look for SPEEDWORLD sign on the right side of the road—this is the entrance.  After entering, bear left and continue back past the BMX track until you reach the Motocross track.


NORTH FLORIDA RACEWAY
Hilliard, FL

The North Florida track is red-clay based with all kinds of technical jumps and rhythm sections. The Raceway features concessions, bathrooms, a bike wash and irrigation. For more information give them a call at (904) 845-2030, or check them out online at www.northfloridamotocross.com.

Directions: Located 30 minutes north of Jacksonville, Florida on US1/US301 five miles north of Hilliard, just past the weigh station on west side of highway.

QUICK TRACK MOTOCROSS
Lakeland, FL

Quick Track MX is a combination of sand, clay and dirt with a lot of big jumps including new tabletops, and step down. There is also a three-mile hare scramble trail and a peewee track. Directions: From Orlando or Tampa take I-4 to Lakeland—Exit 38. Then proceed to State Road 33 north for a half-mile, go past Tomkow Rd. Quick Track MX will be on your left at the USA International Speedway.


SEMINOLE TRIBE MOTOCROSS
Clewiston, FL

Seminole Tribe MX is inside the Big Cypress Indian Reservation. Its main track is laid with a half-and-half mixture of clay and sand. The track features all types of technical sections with big air jumps and long sweeping berms. There are concessions, as well as bathrooms and overnight RV parking. Directions: From Orlando, take 27 South, go through Moore Haven, take 80 west about five miles. Turn left on 833, about 35 miles to reservation. Turn right on Boundary rd. The track is on left in about three miles.


SUNSHINE MOTOCROSS
St Petersburg, FL

This is the only motocross track in Pinellas County. Nice track for quads and dirtbikes. MX school available. For more information, call 727-481-8162 or check out www.sunshinemotocross.com.

Directions: From Tampa, take I-275 South over Howard Franklin Bridge.Take exit 30 (118th Ave.). Track is up on the right.
