I have only owned 2 trucks.
a Nissan pick up and a Chevy Avalanche. They don't compare so I can only speak for the one that comes close to what you are asking about. The Avalanche is a great truck. It does everything I could want. 4 doors, bed, full size and plenty of power and comfort. Never had a problem with it.

Here is a bash on the Dodge boys  and if you have one dont take it personal it is directed at"what were they thinking catagory". Take the Dodge SRT10 it is portrayed in a commercial to be blowing the doors off all of the competition..
Lets look and the Truth about trucks. The SRT10 Nice Ride and Nice price tag. nearly $47,000 When the FORD Lightning came out $29,000 and you had a hoss of a sport truck. add about 2 grand in mods and nothing could touch you on the street. Even the VETTE owners were yelling FOUL!!

This is a pretty general question because in depends on your use of the truck. Personally I drive a Ford but I chose Toyota in this poll. Not because I dont like Ford...I'd drive a stroke if I could afford it...lol....but I owned a Tacoma for a little while and that was the best all around truck I couldve asked for. They are especially good in the mud. That 22r is hard to kill. I doubt I'll have any support......but this is my opinion so who cares right? Grin And Cummins is the better engine.

Oh yeah the Fords look better haha.  Grin I'm all over the place with the post but you get the idea!!

Its called powerSMOKE diesel

I chose Chevy gas because I think so many people buy diesels to ride up and down the road or for status quo and never haul anything. I V8 chevy gas will get 19mpg on the highway and pull a lot of the stuff that people buy diesels for. People buy them to pull a small trailer or their jon boat. Have fun paying $2.50 a gallon when you fill up. Its an initial $6,000 more money, service jobs are 2 to 3 times more, and god forbid if something happens to it, you will need to take out another loan just to fix it. HEHE

just traded weak gas 5.4- 250  for new power stroke250.When puling a trailer the 5.4 gas couldnt handle it. the transmission always shifted up and down. The new power stroke purrs. T ;Dhe transmission never has to shift to compansate for power.POWERSTROKE ALL THE WAY.

THe 22r is a great engine , the only thing I seen go wrond was an occasional head gasket and the timing covers get hacked through by the chain around 150k

Lets see that v8 pull my dozer that I pull 3 times a week. It is a small dozer but with the trailer it is just under 17,000 lbs. That v8 could not do that for long. You can get twice the mileage out of the diesel than most gas engines. I have a diesel with 690,000+ miles on it. Try and get that from a gas without rebuilding it. Powerstroke all the way.
