I wouldn't recommend nor would I buy any of those.
I've owned three HP cameras and while they may not be the most stylish out there,,,,they take some awesome pictures.
now I ask,,,does the camera have to be new? If not I am upgrading to about a 5MP and I'm selling my 3.2MP HP Photosmart for a nice price that would come nowhere near what your limit to spend is.
I'd also suggest shopping at more than Sears,,,,try an office supply place, or Comp-USA, or some other electronic store,,,,even the dreaded Best Buy.

We have a Sony Cybershot that takes photos and MPEG video. The movie on this site from Thundercross was taken with this camera. I like it because it uses AA size batteries (no oddball bats.). It came with NiMH batteries and a charger, or if you forget to charge them, just pop in Energizers. We did upgrade the memory card to a 128MB, and that works great for us, unless you take lots of video. Good luck!

I have a Kodak 5mp and I love it!! Just about all the pictures I have posted on this site are with that camera. Try these links to see them, these pics were taken the first 5 minutes I had the camera before I knew how to tweak the settings. I just bought a Kodak 6.1mp from Walmart for my dad's christmas present. It is $199 on their website or $228-299 depending on which walmart store you goto. It is an awesome camera if you can find the extra money.
Now out of the ones you listed I would go with either the Canon or Fuji. My fiancee has a 4.1mp Fuji and she loves it! The only downside to the Fuji is they use XD memory card and that isnt a very popular card so it can be hard to find them for a good price. As far as Sony goes, I am not impressed by them at all and would never own 1. They seem to take ALOT of out of focus blurry pictures(even on the expensive models.)

I would HIGHLY recommend the Sony series. I have had nothing but great experiences with the 2 that I have owned, in fact, I just finished wrapping my 3rd, a dsc-w5, for my girlfriend...

I agree with Bigscrub, I 'm not impressed with our Sony cybershot. If there's any movement behind your shot then the pic is blurry. I'm definitely switching to another camera on my next purchase

You know Da_Mtg_Man harped on me for suggesting an I Pod to Bigscrb15s fiance for Christmas. He said that he is a redneck and therefore would have no use for a "cute little peice of electronics" swinging from his neck. Uh hello, as you can read his post above, the guy knows the differences between point and shoot digital cameras........
see, Rednecks need tech too.
Merry Christmas Da_Mtg_Man.
