Anyone got a map of the Mill Dam entrance for ONF?  Is it safe to go ride right now?

How about directions from DeLand?

Mill Dam is just a small trailer park w/ rentals and a few camper spots on SR 40. I've heard they will let you ride out of there but you have to ride down the side of the hwy. to get to trails. We trailer the quads east about four miles and park under the power lines on FR 597 which is about 300yds. off 40. Hunting season is still open so I wouldn't ride early in the morning or late in the evening.

NPR:

Thanks bro....that is exactly the info I was looking for.  You think the trails at the power line are about 4 mile east of Mill Dam Rentals?  Is there any other landmarks to look for?  Any other places near by that might be safer from the hunters?

Thanks!!!!

During hunting season it's all about the same. Yea, 4 miles east of Mill Dam look for forest road 597 on the right, it will be 97 to the left. Turn right and about 300 yds. you will drive under power lines, you can park there and head west under the power lines. Once you get a little ways down there will be trails off either side but the best and longest will be on the left. Stay off the numered roads!!! If you want to go to Salt Springs there are some good trails there too but it's about 15-20 miles from Mill Dam depending where you go.
