z 400's are good, but if you want to be serious about racing, go for a yfz, my friend jumped from a blaster to a yfz and he is racing, soon to be sponsered by image racing and has gotten 3rd or better in every race. so a yfz would be awesome. race in a class you feel comfortable in also.

Hey Roostin, It kinda depends on where you are gonna race, or if you plan on racing a series you have do be 16 yrs old to race most big classes if you are 15 when you start racing you will have to run a youth class!! So If I was you i would make my decision based on when i turn 16 and where i plan on riding!!!!

a 450r or yfz450 are good..
there a big step from a 300ex but they wont leave you in lack of power and you wont out grow it..

i would get a 450 they have plenty of power stock, and if you want to go faster there are an unlimited amount of upgrades you can put on them.

TRX 450...80MPH???....ok
Both the trx and yfz are great racing quads.....personally I would prefer the YFZ 450 if you wanna race but the new trx's are gettin nice.  Read some magazines and they might help make your decision.
