I like this idea A LOT! I had thaought about it a few months ago, but never got around to finding out what all is involved with doing it. Considering how many license plates Florida has, I am sure it cant be too dificult. SOmeone should REALLY look into this!

at one time like 5 years ago it was something like you had to have 2000 people sign a petition.

Well, I just did a bit of research on how to create a new license plate... it is definately not an easy thing to do. Here are some of the things needed to even be considered...

1) A letter of request for the specialty license plate describing the proposed specialty license plate in general terms. The letter must include the purpose for creating the specialty license plate.
2) The results of a scientific sample survey of 15,000 or more registered vehicle owners who want to purchase the proposed specialty license plate. The sample survey must be performed independently by an organization that does sample surveys as a normal course of business.
3) An application fee of $60,000, payable to the Division of Motor Vehicles, to defray the department's cost for reviewing the application and developing the specialty license plate. If the specialty license plate requested by the organization is not approved by the legislature, the application fee shall be refunded to the requesting organization.
4) A marketing strategy outlining short-term and long-term marketing plans for the proposed specialty license plate.

After all these things are met, it has to be brought to the legislature for approval.

If you want more information, here is the link http://www.hsmv.state.fl.us/specialtytags/sptag_create_a.html#1

Even though this is a lot of stuff, I think the benefits of this plate would be outstanding. IF we could find an organization large enough to help, we would be set Smiley

I bet if someone could get in contact with Yamaha or Honda they would be sponsers. You could also do a fundraiser ride to come up with the cost of the App. fees and a few of these ATV shops would probably also help. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.  [smiley=ThumbsUp.gif]

Im in that sound great !!!! But we are going to need $$$ to fight off oposition. First we should see what polititians would side with us and then start to lobby them. We my need to play dirty since everyone else is.

The ATV tag is a great idea, but would require a huge rallying effort.

For now, you can get these ATV checks:
