ok i well tell u why everyone rides atvs and not dirtbikes.first of all im about to sell my dirtbike and get what my user name says but anyways dirtbikes in my oppion are harder to ride period, mudd messes you up big time, sand is hard to go u i have no control, less power etc but when you fall and a dirtbike lands on you it well feel alot better than a atv.but thats only my oppion im sure someone has a different oppion.

Well I started riding dirtbikes then sport quads and now 4x4. I am now older and been beat up by both dirtbikes and sport quads. I enjoy riding in the mud and relaxing with frinds.

I used to ride dirtbikes and I love them, but there is so much sand here in Florida, its hard to control a dirtbike. The reason I like quads so much is, you can go slow through the trails and just relax, or you can go as fast as you want. The fun factor is just there, where a dirtbike you always have it wide open to keep it from sinking in the sand. I think dirtbikes are geared more towards tracks and jumps. Thats just my 2cents, in a nut shell.

you beat me to it! i can lay back and sleep on my quad, i can pull someone in need back to camp on my quad, i can carry extra fuel on my quad, i can ride over fallen trees much easier on my quad, i can stop on my quad and not put my feet on the ground! there are alot of benefits to quads when trail riding but on the track they do have a little advantage

ithink dirt bikes are harder to ride than quads i ride a cr 125 and let me tell you  its a handful on the soft sand and mud  but they are challenging  and require a lot more rider imput  they are fun. but there is a  different feeling when i ride my z400  its so much better man.  no worries about putting your foot down or anithyng   their awasome at the mx track  yust     hit the turns like you are on rails   i like  them  both,  i  think you be happy  whith the quad better  .

Where do I start?  LOL.  Sugar sand is no fun on a dirt bike.  You can go as fast or as slow as you want on a quad.  You dont need to put your feet down when you stop, you can carry extra items.  A quad is way more stable.  Thats just scratching the surface.

If you need us to tell you all this obvious info, I say you should stick with the dirtbike idea.

Go buy a dirt bike and you will be back on a quad. Plus this is an ATV FORUM not a dirt bike forum.

First of all, I am one of those damn yankees, and proud of it. And I do miss my home in Maine. However I am a northern redneck. I was brought up in the woods around drunkin' bon-fire's, bottles of Jack, and taught to hunt all that walks, flys, swims,or crawls. I have lived down here for almost 12 years, and I love it. All of you do the same sh*t we do up there, you just get cold a little easier, and I grumble about the heat a little more. I couldn't move back up north if I wanted to. I have met some of the nicest most laid back drunks down here, and plus you all can cook some seriosly intense food! Southern cookin' should be outlawed because of it's addictiveness!
Oh yeah, dirt bike/atv... that is just stupid. I've ridden everything under the sun, and atv's are just the way to go hands down. And good point, I won't spill my Jack, and I can drag back my drunkin friends! When I am a drunkin friend, I have a place to sit.

Hey Miracle Man you sound like someone that I would love to hang with.
But anyway, I'll have to say that I have had my share of sport street bikes(the most dangerous thing you can ride), dirt bikes(fun but not in deep sand & mud), and ATV's, the best thing ever created(cant think of anything negative)!  So to put it bluntly, ATV's rule and everything else is too much of a hassle to be fun. Grin

Have Fun!
