Okay, well I joined this forum the other day because I was debating on getting a dirt bike or a quad.  Once I joined I put my 97 GSX-R600 up for trade and ended up trading it on a Suzuki Z400.  So yesterday the guy dropped off the quad and the wife and I wanted to ride it but didn't want to drive far to ride because we were going to go out to dinner.

Anyway, we heard some people out behind our fence (all woods) and one of my neighbors saw me get the bike and came over.  Well come to find out (after living in my house 1 - 1/2 yrs), there is a small track back there.  It is about 100 yds or so long and has some smaller jumps (3' tall).  But the woods are huge.  After work, my wife and I are going to start making the track larger to give us another place to ride.

If anyone is interested in coming over to see/ride the track or helping us make the track larger, let me know.

Mike

we have the same kind of thing here a bunch of quads and bikes made a track. But from what the cops around here told us is unless it's after 10 , under age rider, no helmets, someone gets hurt, the land owner doesn't approve or it's causing trouble they can't do anything about it. And b/c they don't know who the land owner is they can't say or do anything anything about it. So good luck with your track!

Wow, this thread got a lot of activity in the last few hours...lol

Well a lot of people ride on the track.  Two nights ago I went out there and there was a guy on a small quad and a kid on a dirt bike.  My wife and I went around in the woods and found a lot of land back there.  Some of it is already cleared with jumps but other parts can definitely use to be cleared more.

I can get pictures if anyone wants to see it.  I just took some but it is too dark to tell.

Remove what?  I removed the directions and will give it to any through PM.  Just go back in your post and delete it from the quote.

Well this weekend and next I will be in Ocala Turkey hunting but after that, I say, lets hit it.  I would say that with enough people, we could make a killer track.  But you will have to come and see.

you wouldn't be talking about way down at the end of Rock Springs Road off of a culdesac right?

My uncle sold his house probably about the time you bought yours that was a split-level two-story, large screened porch and pool on the back with a mother-in-law's apartment in the back.

Kevin Beary lived next door to him as well.

Sounds like fun.  Hopefully nobody will complain about the noise.  Did you ask any of the other riders how long they have been riding there?

Actually I did ask...they said they have been riding back there for almost a year.  It was originally cleared for mountain bikes, then about a year ago, they got dirbikes so they widen it, and made a larger jump.

id@, I'm a good shot, so don't come flying by me... [smiley=pirate.gif]

I'm a good shot too, 4 years on a rifle team and winning 2nd overall for the state of Florida high schools, then 1st in an individual position for the state.

Hello Moto.  What kind of trail are you looking to build? Lots of jumps?

this post is pretty old, WAKORB, I live in Apopka and not too sure where this so called track is-no one ever contacted me.  Have you checked out the website www.hardrockmx.com yet?  It's in Ocala and if you take the 429 to the turnpike and then merge onto I-75 it takes about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs-the place is awesome-has about 5 tracks mx, oval, euro style and the trail called the rollercoaster is great-challenging and very steep climbs and descents-very fun.  There is definitely something there for any skill level.
