We were on a ride today @ Eureaka dam area, and a young man who was there about ten - fifteen minutes was seriously injured. Mostly Due to not wearing a Helmet. It only takes a second to put it in, and believe me it could be your own "LIFE" you save!
The man was airlifted out to Gainsville. Don`t know the man, or his name he was alone. Cry
Prayers, and thoughts to his Family.........., And All the more reason to put on the Helmet.

Thats a shame. Did he have a ball cap turned around backwards? It seems that there are those that believe that that offers some protection.

Yes, everyone please wear a helmet. I am pretty sure
I would have died if not for wearing my helmet.

I was also there. it wasnt a pretty site, I hate to say this but these are the things that happen when you dont respect the sport. For 1 he was riding with out a helmet and 2 he was riding by himself.  Imagine there was maybe about 25 or 30 people there around the time it happend, and we all saw him sitting next to his bike as if he was working on it, after about 30 or 40mins my buddy asked him if he was alright and thats when he realized he was badly hurt.  And just like the last person sd after the helicopter left people were still riding without helmets and letting there kids ride without helmets.   We've gone to eureka before and we were the only group there, imagine if nobody was out there this guy probably wouldnt have made it.  We have a few pictures of his bike and of his getting worked on, im sure they will be posted once have them ready, i hope this message gets through to atleast one person, and they start wearing there helmet again.  Prayers to the rider and his family

Woman Killed When Overturned ATV Lands On Her

POSTED: 6:43 am EST November 21, 2005

CANAVERAL GROVES, Fla. -- A woman is dead after losing control of her all terrain vehicle in Brevard County.

The Florida Highway Patrol said 41-year-old Ronnie Cox was riding the ATV along Shadwell Avenue in Canaveral Groves on Saturday night. Her ATV overturned and landed on top of her.

When her friends realized she wasn't following behind them, they began searching for her and got into a separate crash.

Two people were hurt in that accident.

Helmets save lives. It's really that simple.

If you think helmets suck or wearing one is stupid; you probably won't ever make a significant enough contyribution to this world to be missed when your head gets smashed in.

I can't even begin to imagine the number of injuries a helmet saved me from in the past. Everything from limbs smacking my helmet as I rode through the woods to high speed get offs and rolling/sliding on my head.

oh i thought this was going to be another retards thread... retards and wearing helmets.... nevermind.

Anyways its always sad to hear of deaths/injuries, expecially something related to ATVs because that definitly hurts the sport.  On the news you never hear anything good about ATVs, only the bad news.

My teacher brought in some article the other day of a 13 year old that died on an ATV.  You know article writers for the palm beach post... very little research and previous knowledge of something, and not much thought in to the article.  So of course the article wasn't 100% correct....  My teacher was saything things about ATVs that was NOT true, so i definitly corrected him, and he was shocked.  He didnt know i rode etc, he was glad i corrected him too because he doesn't like misinformation, which is what the palm beach post is mainly.
