I just saw this on the news

Jacksonville Man Dies in Clay County ATV Crash

POSTED: 6:16 pm EST November 13, 2005

MAXVILLE, Fla. -- A 33-year-old Jacksonville man was found dead Sunday morning, slumped over the wheel of an all-terrain vehicle that had apparently struck a tree in the woods in northwest Clay County.

A hunter saw the victim just off Long Branch Road. The hunter called for help, but paramedics and deputies found Michael Key already dead.

Investigators learned that Key attended a large party at a home in the area and that several people were riding ATVs through the woods near the home. The Clay County Sheriff's Office received complaint calls regarding the noise and sent a deputy to the area about 1:30 a.m., but no ATV riders were located at that time.

Investigators believe Key crashed his ATV into the tree sometimes between 2 and 3 a.m. and suspect that he died instantly. No one at the party noted that he was missing until Sunday morning when word spread of the crash.

There were no witnesses to the crash itself. Investigators don't know if alcohol played a role in the crash and the investigation won't be complete for several weeks, until the results of toxicology tests are finished.
