Raptor boy, you just cant shut it can you? Just because the gauge reads to 40lbs. doesnt mean it will produce that much boost. I am driving a Ford now because of the large crew cab. I have 3 kids to haul around. The 6.0 is in 3rd place as far as diesels go, it does the job just fine, it is just not overbuilt like the others. My last truck was a 99 Dodge with a Cummins, I bought it brand new and it was an awsome running truck, I just outgrew the quad cab.
2 things that I wont have in a truck: and automatic transmission and an IFS front axle. That kind of narrowed down my choices.

The stock boost levels accorind to gale banks gauges (digital that is)  and its about 15 to 20 on the stock level and 35 to 40 on the top level diesels can handle that much boost becouse they are made diff than gas engines.

Remenber diesels have glow plugs not spark plugs they run off heat not spark. another differnce is that the injecter pressure is like 45000psi in a diesel and only like 150psi in a gas engine.

Rapturd its not cool to act like you know what your talking about so stop it.

And you have to worrie more about breaking rear diffs more than axels  my friends has a dodge hemi supercharged about 10psi it has like 500 hp and has broken a couple diffs never axels but he does alotta donuts.

All versions of the Cummins that have been used in Dodges use a air intake heater grid. It heats the air in the intake manifold to make cold starts easier.

All diesels use compression ignition. This means that the air is compressed enough that it creates enough heat to ignite the fuel when it is injected at high pressure. I think you dont fully understand how glow plugs work. They only "glow" during start up, then the heat from compression is the only ignition source.

I hate poser's with Hog Valley tags on their vehicles...  I have had a camp in the Valley since 1985 and I see more and more people with Hog Valley tags, yet there still is only a hand full of people that live/have homes out there.

Mike

BTW....nice truck tho...lol

My truck's the same as Chillin's. However, I took a marker and wrote 50lbs on my boost gauge. Now my truck makes 50lbs of boost and really hauls butt.

Also, I had Chillin's son draw a picture of a Hog Valley tag for my truck and I taped it to the inside of the windshield.

Finally, I replaced all my glow plugs with Bosch Platinum spark plugs and installed a new 14" quad exhaust system. I have giant 24" tips with spinners on my exhaust. It gave me like 84.145 extra horses.

I've got mad game.

What kind of teeth? I've got some of those fake "Bubba" teeth I picked up at Wal Mart.  Besides, I'm not big enough to be a fighter. I'm 5'4" 145lbs on a day of heavy eating. My athletic experience amounts to being president of my high school chess club. I'm a tiny guy whose not very strong.

Also, I have a Diawa Tackle hat that I like to wear fishing but I really don't have any Diawa Tackle.  Does that make me a poser? If it does, I'm not sure I can live with myself.

Thats funny, now someone will come out with spinners for an exhaust system. 3", 4" and 5" spinners. You should have kept that idea to yourself.

Is it obvious that I dont like being called a poser Evil

Dude, first of all, I think I read somewhere that you had a place in the valley.  And I didn't call YOU a poser...I was talking about all of the people that have Valley tags like the Making Bacon one.  Roll Eyes

Second, yes, I have had a place in the Valley and when I turned 18 my father put it in my name.  It was bought by my parents and given to me when I turned 18.  Plus, I have a 100x100 lot in Eureka.
