Hey I was just wondering if anyone on this site has been down to the camp grounds on Peace River where you are allowed to ride right out of the campsite, and through some trails in the area.  It's not a huge place, maybe 1000 acres at the very most, but it's a nice spot.  Just wondering....

I used to go there every Janurary with a bunch of guys..... But last year, they fenced off the slew that you used to be able to ride in, and the people at the campground told us we could no longer ride in the primitive camping area. Haven't been back since. If you find out something different, post it up.. that was a killer place to camp.

We were there about 2-3? years ago, it was a awesome campground Grin
Here are some pics... http://community.webshots.com/album/77906710MrXVOp

Last year after Charlie we went there to volunteer for the Red Cross and used our bikes for the clean-up and it was pretty bad  Sad almost all the trees were down  Sad
I was wondering when they would close it down to ATV's.  I know they don't allow ATV's in the season.  In the summer the place is dead, you might want to try it then.  Nice people, just hang out and shoot the $hit and see where it gets you  Wink

So you can't ride there anymore?  I don't understand what the slew is?  There was the area that you took that long pavement road to get to, and then there was the larger area back along the river.  What's closed?
Dang, I was wanting to go there sometime soon, just a nice laid back place.
