I know of several places to go riding in the forest.  It isn't near as fun as ONF, but it is a place to ride.

Well, you can stop at the ranger station and they will give you a map of places where you can ride and of course, the trails are marked for ATV use.

You can either go out 206 and ride the trails there.

Or.... you can go down Gum Swamp (205) until just before you cross over I-10 and take a numbered road to some trails.

Other than that, I have no idea where else to ride in Lake City.

Hi Steve

We only have ridden out from Wiggins Camp and one other spot to the north of that.

Would love to ride with someone who knows their way around.

We are going there on Sunday, if you are not busy, we could meet you out there.

Anyone bringing kids along? Also, how wet is wet? I noticed a lot of standing water along the roads in Suwannee County today.

Let me know about Kids. We might be able to make it Sunday.

FYI for those of you going to Osceola this weekend 2/19/06.

This is the weekend festival of Olestee [have no idea how to spell it] in Osceola. Friday and Saturday are the festival activities.

Sunday the 19th is the Olestee [sp] Civil War re-enactment battle. I do not think this will put anymore traffic in the woods where you are going to ride, but I wanted to make you aware of the activities before hand.

FYI  Teej
