Would it be legal for me to do a fund raiser to raise money to get my fourwheeler fixed? or if i raised money as a Katrina Disaster fund and kept like 20% of whatever i raise? I really need money and nobody wants to buy my bicycle Sad... i need my fourwheeler back Cry i cant just sit here and watch everyone ride without me

I dont think doing a Katrina fundraiser for your quad would be a good idea.  Wink

But coming up with a good idea to raise money to fix your quad is not a bad idea at all!

yes,  dont take money from a disaster fund raiser type thing.
if you want to help so bad, get a job at publix and for every $10 you make give the red cross $2 or something.

You will have to earn it bubba. Shortcuts will lead you to jail for sure. It sucks, but we all have done it. You will have to earn it, and you can't start at the top. I hope you do well!

yeah dude, bad idea to start with the Katrina relief stuff.

what is it that needs fixin on the quad? how much cash are you looking to raise to fix it?

that might be a better place to start,,,,then maybe we can come up with some better ideas.

allrighty, at 15 years old there aint much options, but that job with your girlfriend's dad sounds like a good place to start.

and at the rate that you are earning there (assuming no taxes taken out) you would make up the cash you need in under a month.

I can tell you right now that a lot of people on this site make tons more cash than that, and it probably would take a lot of them about the same amount of time to save that much extra(I know it would me), so hang tough, save money and get it fixed.

You will appreciate the quad so much more, and treat it better after you spent that much time into it for sure.

good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Here's an idea work hard and save up some money, buy the work manual for your bike and try and do the work yourself. you will save some money you will learn how to fix your own bike and you won't be scamming the katrina fund. its a win win situation.

15yr old. Try being a Bus Boy or ask the person who owns the shop your bike will be at if you can work it off. Sweep the floors or something. There's plenty of money out there you just have to look, just try to keep away from profiting off Disasters. Bad idea, really bad idea  No. No.

Ask your girlfriends dad to let you work every day. tell him what you are trying to do to your quad so maybe he will find more work for you. Buy parts a little at a time instead of trying to save and when you get all your parts, put it together. Sometimes when you try and save money you end up spending it on things that you don't need. Thats why I say but parts as you get the money. He may even offer to help you out to fix your quad but if he does then you need to live up to your end of any agreements you two have together.

Bud.... negative on the Katrina scam .. but there is one why to make money and get rid of stuff you don't need.

ONE WORD.........  "EBAY"  borrow a digital camera if you don't have one and sell stuff you don't need. Like an online garrage sale. Works for me.

All good suggestions.

Yunt's got a great idea. Explain your problem to the guy and see what he says.

Also, BonesTM has another great idea. People on eBay will buy ANYTHING!!
