Sorry if this has been talked about already, I did a search and couldnt find what I needed. I am wanting to remove my baffle and air lid and im pretty sure that i need to re jet the quad after doing this. It is a 350 raptor. Can anyone explain how to do this or direct me to a site that will explain it to me.

Leave it alone unless you get someone to help you that knows what they are doing. Dont remove the lid unless you rejet. There are power gains to be had but if not done right you could lose power.

I wouldn't run an air cool motor with an open lid. I don't think it can handle it, even if it was jetted right.

If you send more air and fuel into the motor it will run hotter. I have seen Warriors overheat before that have been modified. A Raptor 350 is basically a Warrior. If it was my quad I would get a slip on and rejet it accordingly with the lid on. It would be different if it was water cooled.

Water cooled makes no difference. If it's done RIGHT it will run the right temps. no matter what. I run my 400ex for hours on end at full throttle and don't have any heat issues same way with the 250ex and the Blaster none of which have a lid on the box but have all been jetted accordingly. AIr cooled motors were designed to run hotter than the avg. water cooled and will do just fine no matter how long you run them. If they get to hot there is another problem such as a blockage in the oiling system.

If your Raptor 350 runs good. Dont even bother to rejet it. If its running to lean thats bad and can ruin yur engine life. But if its too rich then it can bog when you give it full throttle. Just see how it rides then by a jet-kit for like $60-$100

Which is it? Listen any mods that increase the amount of air intake and or flow must be compensated with fuel or you will lean out and go Boom follow the post about going to http://www.bluetraxx.com/ there is alot of help you can find there
