no kidding, thats just insane. Imagine that, Kuwait City $0.78, the same people that we get out gas from and we pay over $1.35 more for the same gas!!!!! sounds a little shady to me.

Yea but when Kuwait gets gas they don't have to ship it around the world to be able to use it.

That's true! [smiley=stooges.gif]Maybe if the presidents (Bush) didn't start fights with other countries we wouldn't have so many problems with gas. No offense to anyone (I have family in Iraq and Italy fighting in the war and they all think it is ridicolous what Bush is doing). [smiley=box.gif]

I have a best friend in Italy and Bush told them all they can take all their PTO whenever they want and now he is saying they have to keep 10 days on the books which means he gets to come home for only a week instead of two.

I thought we went in to stablize the region and then gas would go down. Instead I believe Bush and Haliburton have used this critical resource to pay for the war. Hell why not, Bush can say "I am not going to raise your taxes." with a straight face, but he can in some way get money from the oil that flows from Iraq. Maybe I'm wrong but before the war, weren't gas prices much llower?

our refineries r maxed but the treehuggers will not let us build more the gov. wonts to sell closed military bases to build refineries but the epa has made it to costly for the oil co. to build same problem with gulf exploration off the fl. coast EPA. TREE HUGGERS. LA. no sig. pollution and has helped the econ. both in fishing artifital reefs plus jobs in the oil ind. ps i have worked for a oil company 29 years. 5 more to go YEAH!!!! the epa will let us dredge to restore our beaches will destroying our reefs whats wrong with that picture the epa is the most corrupt gov. agency in our gov.look to these agencys to blame not to the busch admin. he has become the enemy to these agency

I wasn't pointing at bush just stating what I heard on the news. Being in the automotive industry for 27 years I have had my share of dealing with these power hungry gov't employees. Give them a badge and a gov't id and they love pushing there weight around. Did you know that being a business the epa requires you to keep logs or records of disposing of even flourecent light bulbs. But I can put as many as I want in my trash at home. Its all about creating revenue.

Quick note on gas prices being so high in other countries. A big portion goes to healthcare, paid vacation (in some countries 6 weeks or more a year), in some countries 3 months off for maternity leave for both man and women, full pay at retirement, etc. See what we get for our gas prices here So is 2 dollars a gallon really that cheap in the USA
