Hey,

I work at publix now but the pay is kind of low. I really like the job but I would like to cut back on my hours and find another job that pays like 10.00 an hour. Any ideas. I thought about the food business but at most places you have to be 18 to work there. Thanks for your ideas.

I thinks it's 18 to transport alcohol from the bar to the table, 21 to serve it. Try busboy.

Will they hire me for that job? Where should I apply like a big resturant or a family owned restraunt?

I know a 18 hear old bartender at Chili's ....? She serves me  Grin

Hey Njoutlaw88,
If you can find something else at Publix STAY!  They are a super company to work for, I know a few people that started young and retired at 35-40 years old.  Now would'nt that be nice.  And you can move around.

I hear Chilli's is a good place to work too, but I guess some are better than others.

Try a bar back at a good bar. A bar back it where you make sure the bartenders are all set up and constantly filled up. They give you some of their tips!

You may want to correct the title of the thread and make it:

"Can anyone recommend a job for me"?

I worked at publix, but eventualy told them to shove it after only giving me 4 hours a week, two on saturday (1-3) and two on sunday (12-2) basically ruining my day for a measly 20 bux, which I can make in an hour mowing lawn or washing car. Just go to your local shopping centers and apply, places like carvel, baskin robins, blockbuster, hollywood video, and all those other places u pass by everyday are usually very easy jobs.

Publix is easy but they just piss me off sometimes. They gave me 8 hours just because I asked for saturday off. Also some girl told my boss I wasnt working hard enough so they keep calling me to the front.
