«

Quick question here...would a dirty air filter make the bike difficult to start...the obstruction of air flow?
Thanks,
Pat

When the filter is completely clean, will it still be "sticky/tacky"? Or should it be free of any sticky residue?
Thanks,
Pat

IF it is a foam style filter the oil residue in most cases is impregnated to trap the dust in the filter. clean it until the largest particle of dirts will roll out of it will mild soap and water

Its just the stock YFZ filter...washed it with soap and water but it was still pretty sticky when I was finished...but no more dirt particles. With my old KX250 I would have been satisfied with this but I'm trying to take a bit better care of my new bike.
