What is a substitute for Polaris trans oil in my wife's '05 330 Trail Boss? I am a die hard Mobil 1 fan.

Is it 2 stroke or 4 stroke? If it 2 stroke I would use 80W 2 stroke gear lubricant. If it is a 4 stroke you can use automotive oil BUT if the engine oil also goes through the clutch you CAN NOT use anything with moly in it. All Mobil 1 oil has moly. I would also check the manual.

I use Mobil1 motorcycle oil in my quads.
The Trail Boss is a 4 cycle.

As long as it is motorcycle oil it won't have moly in it. I would say it would be fine.

Are we talking about a wet clutch here or differential fluid?

The Polaris CVT. It is a chain drive.
