The new Polaris Outlaw 500 is preety sweet. IRS (independent rear suspension) first on a sprot quad. Same engine as predator, only difference is the 5th gear is set a little lower. It has reverse and is a full race quad!!!! thats preety cool.... Wink Wink Wink

it sucks its chain driven and then the chain hooks up to a dif sort a looking thing

I could see that as sort of  a hybrid machine for those that like trails. comfortable and fast, but not true sport or utility quad. good for comfort in rooted trails, but not a true performer. Old man's sport quad maybe.

In think it will do well racing XC. We will find out because Polaris sponsored rider Matt Smiley will be racing it in the GNCC.

The cornering is why I'm guessing it will be better at trails. The independent suspension should soak up the roots and bumps well, but I wonder how it will react racing. I would be afraid it wouldn't break lose predictably and would want to hold the ground causing it to be tippy. However the 500 Pred engine should power it through the trails nicely.

The first ride report I read was you can slide it, but it is a little harder. Over all I have only heard good reviews.
