Back when Bad Luck Praire was getting closed, I read that they had until October 30th of this year to open a new park in Collier County, to make up for Bad Luck's closing.  Does anyone have any new info on this?

Yeah it's not going to happen.  Surprise, Surprise the government lied to us again.  You know it would not have been that big of a deal if they continued to let us ride out at Bad Luck Priaire until they opened up this supposed ATV Park.  None of the restoration has even taken place in Bad Luck Prairie yet.  Its all been in the South Blocks.  So what the hell was the big rush to kick us out for?  They could have allowed the permits to continue.  What a bunch of crap..... I'm from Naples and I hate the fact I can't ride anywhere.  I love to ride late nights so it's not so hot.  The prarie was so nice because it was away from anyone to complain.  I spent much of my high school life on my bike out there with friends and always random girls.  haha .  Gosh I miss Badluck

I also have a bunch of memories while riding there in the past few years, probably not as many as yours, but they were still good times.  It stinks that I'm kinda forgeting them, like they never happened.  Cry

Lets plan a rally. It would have to be at least 100 people to make an impact.

Yup, it's time we go clog up some traffic somewhere.  Looks to me like all the money in our atv taxes is going to the on ramp on gg pkwy.  Oh and the airport road overpass.  What is this... MIAMI?  I'm outta here as soon as I can afford it.  North Carolina or Georgia here I come.

I spoke with Jim Coletta last week about this. He's the collier county commissioner in that area. I forwarded him along to the rest of the county commission, the naples daily news,  the county manager, and the county attorney the copy of the land agreement between the state and collier county Government. According to Jim, Everything is ready for the 640 acres to open up in the picayune strand forest, However the US fish and Wildlife service is what's holding this up?? Take this for what it's worth. If you want a copy of the agreement, e-mail me  @ lswjth2@yahoo.com and put in Agreement as the subject line. If we do not start holding demonstartions in the downtown collier county offices and start making lots of noise, this will never happen. I am willing to go Downtown and apply for a demonstration permit, starting on everglades blvd and ending at the government center but only if we have enough people, and i mean a couple of hundred or so. I am willing to organize it, but we need people. Any questions, E-mail me. As soon as i here back from Jim, i will post again....Rick

it wouldnt be hard to organize, pick a spot where we can sit on our quads. call some news stations, and gather the people. if someone would cook hot dogs, more people willl come. also, call a reporter in the local are to tell the people about a future rally coming up. the last rally i went to out there was right by the 75 bridge on everglades blvd. there was 500 people. if everyone knows, they will come. im pretty sure it was on everglades. that would be a good spot, lots of room. this could be all it takes to push our success. i need this to happen, for me and my family.

maybe picketing at the 75 spot isnt a good idea. it's kinda out of sight out of mind. maybe a more visible spot would be better. im serious about this, and want it to happen.  LSWJTH2, im trying to light a fire under your rear. get it going, my number is 3053936987. nothing happens with talk. if you commit, it will happen, you are forced to do it.  i can get many people in the keys, plus we could get a bunch off this site.  does anyone have ideas on a location?

The best spot would have to be the bridge, thats where the praire is at basically. All the locals live close to it, there is more then enough parking, and I think its legal as long as your on the road. Believe me, if theres enough poeople, the media will get involed, they have been at all the rest of the rallys.

It really is sad that they closed that place down. Is there another entrance in besides H-29?

There are like 3 or 4 entrances into that general area.  There's Sable Palm road, the scenic route, the normal entrance, and there's one that we call the "Shortcut" that was off of Us41.

The way i used to get in was LOOOONG it was take US-41 to US-29 go through a small town of Copeland, and then a LOOOONG drive through some unpaved roads and swamps. Is this the same way you all take? I dont know if i want to risk going out there though.
