this is a repost from the "hobbies" thread Here are some pics of our savages. the pics are from my nextel so excuse the quality Mine(HPI Savage .25 PullStart, 7" UFO wheels with Psycho Tires, Aluminum Suspension, Blue Shocks, Tuned Pipe, Dual Disk Break upgrade. 4spider gear diff upgrade. high flow air filter. White 1500HD Crew Cab Body to match my real truck.)  Mine next to my brothers with stock tire/wheels and most of the same upgrades as me, just different color suspension.  close up of my brothers  Close up of mine  these things have 4wheel independent suspension and this tire is on top of a 12oz can with the other 3 tires touching the ground, talk about articulation!  another shot of can  love to mess with those little electric rc cars.  pics dont work. give me the link to the hobby thread. |

I have an hpi savage. i am new at the hobby but mine allways overheats, i know that you are supposed to make it richer but when i do that it has a hard time getting up to speed. just wondering what you think.

change fuel to Sidewinder barkyard basher. It has 16% oil the only fuel that I use, keep temp down and better power all round. www.morganfuel.com |

also remember that the higher nitro content you have the hotter you will run cause nitro=oxygen in simple terms plus you always want to tune according to performance not solely by temp. hope this helps some.

There a big different in temp. Also you know the outside temp is also a big factor in tuning.

On all my trucks, there's inboard temp gauge display (green box on the roll bar) I adjust my fuel mix on eng temp and outside temp. Also remember when the tank runs low it starts to lean out. alway tune eng on a full tank.
