Haw creek HS#1

Who is going? It will be my first race, looks like im racing open C
But couple of questions though, I see Quad Open C (age 16+) But I only ride a Z400, but the only class is Quad C 0-400(age 40+) I dont get it. It also says I need a white plate. Which is fine with me, as that is what is on the bike now, BUT the Azalea race in October has the class that I want to race in for 16+ but with yellow number plates.. Was there some sort of mix up or will I be racing in the "Open" class?

Well, I guess for this race it is white with letter C at the end of your number.. Well, when I get to the track, I will be in the grey Ford Lightning. just my bike in the back. Ill be in all yellow with black helmet.
Look forward to racing this year.

Let me help a few of you out here.
SVTBOLT04...If you are running a Z400 and its under 400cc your number plate should be yellow with black numbers atleast 5" high and the letter must be atleast 2".
No number plates made out of paper plates or you will be DQ'ed
If you are runnning over 400cc you can race in the Open C class which is White background and letter C.
Vet class is for 35 years or older and can run anything.
Sr. Vet is for 40 years or older and same applies.
Super Sr. Vet class is for 45 and older and same applies.
Anymore questions just stick them up and I will help.

Thanks yamadooski.. They told me it was a typo over at the FTR forums.
About the plates, I have one on my hood of my quad. Also, I took off the rear brake light and I suppose the plate goes there, right?
My quad has the number setup like, one in the front on the hood and the two others on the fenders.
Would that be good, or will I need to buy the maier plate to hang from the rear?
Thanks.

The one on the hood is good.
They got rid of the rear fender numbers last year and you will now have to use a rear plate that hangs from the rear bumper like the MX guys do.
They sell them at races all the time.
Things to bring to the race are Zip Ties, Duct tape, scissors, tools,...oh jeez I could be here all night but you get the idea.
Anyways as you come and forget something ask around you will be surprised how many will bend over backwards to help.
I once blew my water pump seal during practice. I asked around and found a seal and a guy who tore apart my whole side of my 450 motor and had it up and running before the 3 pm race...

Well, about the races. I see they have practice.. Is that to walk the course or to actually run the course first? Either one is fine, but I just would like to see the course before I run it.. Dont want to do into anything blind ya know.

Ok let me give Paul a hand with this, look "svtbolt04" I'm glad to heard that you are givin it a try, the Quads race is at 3:30, and the practice is at 9:30 am, one lap at the track. Some other races like GNCC, or some others they don't have that practice lap, but you can walk on it.
Hey besides all the safety gear you can use, it is good to have a "camel back" or similar, this will keep you hydrated, 1 1/2 hour or ride takes a lot of water out of your boddy.
