Ilove football Talk, DIRTYBIRDS BABY>  Atlanta did not impress me the other night. Vick still does not know what pocket passing means and I don't think he will ever get it. His passer rating after the game was 55.7 which has him ranked 27th in the league. That's not going to get you to the super bowl. |

Just a note on Vick...he'll never be a pocket passer first and foremost. His strength is when he's on the move. Dan Marino always had one of the highest QB ratings during his years in the NFL and it only got him to the Super Bowl once. Unfortunately, there is no statistic factored into the QB rating regarding how a QB like Vick impacts the opponents defensive strategy prior to and during the game. Usually at team will keep a "spie" on a QB like Vick which means that is one less guy to tackle a receiver/running back and/or pass cover, blitz, etc. My point is that the QB rating scale is often misleading.

I'm a big boy,I can take it. We were one running back away from winning. And he will be back soon enough. Also did you see all the dropped passes? Some crucial ones by Chambers. This was a mistake loss. Penalties and mistakes. Were definately better than the Jets. New coaches,running back,quarter back etc. They just weren't in sync. I promise you this. They don't stand a chance December 18th. I was wondering how long it would be before you busted my b@lls. LOL. Were in first place in the east. I'll get back to ya after they upset Carolina next week. |
