Welcome!  We live in Broward....and besides Big Cypress or Holeylands....you're SOL.  We go up to Port St Lucie to "the Underhills" - it's about a 2 hour drive.  The Holeylands is on US-27, right on the Broward/Palm Beach line....but it's closed for now.  Other than that, there's really no (legal) riding around here.  Undecided

your allowed to ride at Krome and 8th st which isnt that far but other than that there is no where to ride down here, i live in Hollywood and i usually go to either croom or to Big scrub at least once a month.  I would like to find out where the underhills are though it doesnt sound as far as where i usually ride.

Hey MrsPureLogic,

I was wondering if you could give me some information on the Underhills (directions, what kind of riding, etc.).

And also to those who ride at 8th street, I thought that place closed down along time ago and they built developments on it.  What side of 8th street do you ride on now ??  And what type of riding is it ??

Thanks,

~MudMan~

It's flooded right now, too. It's certainly going to get really small when it dries up and everyone from Palm Beach to Homestead is riding down there.

My advice is to sell your atvs while you could, owning any atv in South Florida is like owning an atv in New York city.

These places everyone is recomending are illegal, unless you are willing to run from the police I would not recommend them, besides the fact that they are boring.

dude i totaly disagree with this dude all u have to do is find spots to ride duh... i ride right down my street its kinda tight but its awesome, big scrub is also a good place to ride and if this dude i quoted sold his atv and doesnt ride why is he bothering others and telling them to sell theirs he's probably one of these know it alls who think they are smarter than everyone else come on man deal with it and stop trying to bring down others dont tell people what to do if we like it and dont really care then its fine. oh, and yeah sure cops are gonna chase us from legal spots? underhills is not illegal!!!!! you make contact with the property owner at the gate , pay your ten dollars and ride on 900 acres of pasture .... not very good for sport quads . although everytime we go i see some out there .  can't comment on the other places . if you live in the palm beach area pm me . we have been looking for some other riders to join us on some local rides . ..... that are not posted or fenced off .

That bumblemoose guy is an idiot........There are tons of places to ride in Florida that are perfectly legal......Croom, Big Scrub, 3Lakes, Holopaw, Bull Creek, and that's only half the spots I ride in Florida.......he's probably a tree hugger  Grin

Been riding at a spot in royal palm for two years. Cops drive by and wave. They had a nice clay mud hole there yesterday. Not real big but a place to ride and not get harrased by the po-po.

I was wondering if you could give me some information on the Underhills (directions, what kind of riding, etc.).
From south Fla take the Turnpike (or I-95) North - go to 714 (Martin County Highway)......head west on 714......approx. 30 minutes it will be on the right.  You'll see red, white & blue bamboo poles out front.  $10 to get it.

There are some good mud holes most of the time.  Camping and kids are allowed but no motorcycles.  It can get dry if it hasn't rained in a while but should be fairly wet now.  Underhill has cows so expect to do a good cleaning when you get home.

Keep an eye on the group rides forum.  We have a south FL crew that travels to Underhill's once or twice per month.  Your welcome to join us anytime.

No, he used to allow them but now says they cause to many problems.  We only had one person on a dirtbike in our group and never caused problems. But some others who rode there were jerks and they are now banned.

Same old thing...responsible riders are paying for the actions of a few.
