Wanted to get this out before MUDFEST! I was trying to Bypass my wife’s reverse rev limiter and I wanted to use the existing OEM hardware. I found a way to do it but it required me to disassemble the entire front nose of the bike. Now for the people that know me, I always thoroughly clean my bikes. I try to get every grain of sand and always wash the radiator & oil; coolers during and after rides.  Because the oil cooler is crammed all the way in the back I always blindly washed the radiator with a water hose and watch the back side to make sure I have a thorough water flow. When I took the nose off I looked at the oil cooler and saw that it was 92% clogged. That would have really sucked for MUDFEST. Lord knows its already 600 degrees as it is anyways, a clogged oil cooler would just ruin the day. So I got Simple Green and let the oil cooler soak for about 20 minutes and washed it out. This time I inspected every fin to verify there was no blockage. And it worked like a charm I also did the Kodiak to and got allot of sand out of it to. Kind of makes me want to rethink my washing strategy a little. Just passing the word a long because Florida will always be hot and our rides always need every little bit we can give it.
By the way MUDFEST is this weekend and nobody wants to get caught over heated!!!
