Well, for the past couple of days, I have had this..What I thought was maybe a in-grown hair on my thiegh just above my knee...Well, I went to practice this morning and it was hurting more and more. I got done with practice and it is throbbing..SO, I get home and I take a look at it and it seems to be filled with puss and what not, so me being the hardcore ness I am, I tryed to pop it using a needle, or atleast to relieve some pressure.. Not only that, I have been sleeping since 12:45 and just got up at 6somthing with a HUGE!!!!! headache..

The sore has a red circle around it..id say about a half dollar size. It doesnt feel good and wont pop..So my thinking brings me to spider bite.... Just thought I would share.

Go to the doctor. Some Spider bites can actually kill the cells around the bite and than a section of skin will have to be cut out. You need to get on Antibiotics.

Cut it open and squeeze the junk out. Then put peroxide on it.

I had a widow spider bite a few months back and it was the same thing.  Went to the doctor and they cut it open and cleaned it out.  They put me on anti-biotics for 2 weeks.  Go and get it looked at to make sure.  I was told that spider bites are nothing to play around with.

So, have you shown it to your Mom?  We Moms are pretty smart about taking care of our kids.  Doesn't matter if you are 17 or 7.

I dont think it is. Its been almost a week, and im only starting to feel it now. Im going to go put some alcohol on it and try to clean it out as much as I can and get a warm rag to see if I can work any of the toxins out of it.

My doctor friend has told me about a newer infection called MRSA (methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus) ...
It is commonly mis diagnosed as a spider bite.

My brother got bit by a brown recluse spider on the leg and he had a hole the size of a quarter to the bone. The doctors was talking about taking off his leg at one point, then they started filling the hole with some kind of anti-biotic and it healed up and hes fine now. Definately go see a doctor.

anybody live near her to go grab her and take her to the doctor kicking and screaming?

if you've had this thing a week and it got worse,,,,,that aint no bite, it's some kind of infection and it doesn't seem like your body is winning the battle.

doctor time.

I also think that it may be MRSA (we call it MERSA). Normally on a Spider bite it starts hurting and swelling the same day. (Exspecially a Widow bite b/c it's so toxic). A Rekluse bite hurts like hell but also deadens the skins outward.

Mersa on the other hand looks and feels just like a Spider bite. But it just feels w/ puss and keeps getting bigger and bigger. Your body is actually trying to get rid of infection through that area. Thing about it, you can spread it from one place to another. We have guys that get one, then have 2, 3, and even more around their body. The infection has to be covered and antibiotics are taken to help kill the infection. Either way... you need to see a Dr.
