450r bogging

i just got my quad about a month ago. it seamed fine the first 2 or 3 rides i went on, and the past 2 rides, if im goin over bumpy terrain such as woops my bike just wants to die, especially if im in 4th or 5th. i took the plug out after my last ride and from the looks of it, it looked a lil on the white side, should i take it to the honda dealership and tell them to fix it?

Is it still stock? Have you messed with the air box, air filter or exhaust? Is it only doing it when you are hard on the gas?

the bike is 100% stock, and it only happens when i go over bumpy ground or goin over woops and well things in general that are bumpy, but if its not bumpy, it seams to run fine

It's not low on fuel? I have heard of people having problems with plastic shaving in the tank from the factory. I haven't heard of any 05 models doing it just 04. You might want to take off the tank and empty it out to check. Also take the carb off and take the bowl off and check the main jet for blockage. Good Luck

If you do take the bowl off the carb, the scews are a pain in the but to get out. Make sure you have a good screwdriver. I had to chisel 2 out of my carb.

If your on the gas going through rough terrain your probably bouncing off the rev limiter, because your rear wheels are leaving the ground.

if your dealer is a reputable one,,,,take it to them and point and say,,,,,fix.
I love warranties.

I agree with Ida. If it's new let the dealer fix it. That's what warranties are for.

i took it to them and he drained the gas out of the bottom of the carb and it had like dirt in it, and he said that that is what is causing it and that it isnt covered under the warranty and would be 60$ and atleast a week for him to clean it, so i cleaned it myself and going to test it tomarrow and see if i fixed it
