ATV Decal

New rider here. I went down to the Tax office to get a decal for my sportsman. The guy told me he needs to collect tax on the private sale, before issuing me the decal. I dont see any mention of collecting tax on their form https://www.flhsmv.gov/pdf/forms/82054.pdf

Have any of you had to pay tax to get your Title Validation Decal?

Yes. That is correct. I remember when the state started this tax collection way back. It started when they required titles on ATVs and then the decal. It's very similar to automobiles.
