Has anyone been there recently ?  Are they blocked with down trees ?   I want to go tomorrow and/or this weekend just curious on the trails condition.  The weather should be getting better. Grin

I had the same problem today . I think it was on Tobacco Patch trail.   There are 2 down on the Salt Springs connector, I made it under one and had to go around the 2nd.  I rode about 75 miles!  WooHoo !!!
I've got to pick up a decent axe.  Now that the weather is showing signs of cooler temps.  It's time to ride !
I also got to see one of the skinniest looking bears ever, from a distance it was all legs.

Took the wife up to Ocala today and had a great time rode about 50 miles .  I couldn't believe how empty it was.  The trails were good it must have rained there last night. No dust and good temps. We were able to get around a couple of downed trees.
We didn't see any wild life but lots of tracks.  I hope to get up there again soon.
If this weather keeps up I'm going to go broke going there. LoL !  It's worth it.

My wife and I rode 107.5 miles up there yesterday and 104 miles the Saturday before that. Yesterday it was cool all day long but we did have to put on our rain jackets a couple of times. We love it there.

We used to never see any bears, but now we see them every time we go. As long as they run away from us, we enjoy seeing them.

We made it around all of the downed trees except for that one place below the campground on the yellow trail. It's the one that has three large trees down in the same place. We told the young ranger of its location and he said that he would try to get it cleared in a couple of weeks.

Very nice place to ride, if you want a break from the mud and water. It's very easy to clean your atvs after riding there.

I've never ridden 100 miles or more yet.  But I'm working on it.   Wink   I need to get there a little earlier and leave a little later.   Please post up when that big tree is off the trail.

I used to love riding the north trails. I haven't been in some years since all the regulation. We used to ride from Rodman to the outskirts of Altoona. Those were fun days and good memories. Got away from it due to work and now in Afghanistan so maybe when I come back I will make it back down.
