Hey y'all like the tittle says. I got a 2001 warrior 350 engine that I bought for parts, but it's mild built to a 390  and my current engine smokes so I would like a back up. However I have no clue what I'm getting into and  surely can't afford a shop anyone have any advice or tips I would greatly appreciate it thank you.

gettting ur tranny stuck in reverse isnt a good thing,it could mean that ur gears r worn out or that somthing is loose in there..i must say its very rare!..does ur bike have alot of hours on it?..was it fliped over recently?,,i had that happend to me on a honda cr 250 dirtbike after it thru me off and slamed hard on its side.i had to take apart the motor to get to the tranny gears..my suggest, ask the same question in a few (yamaha warrior/atv )forums and see what answers u get back. good luck pal and keep us posted,we learn a lil bit more each day from each other...

Honestly man i bought the motor for parts but mine smokes and is starting to get a little pesky so i would like to hve a spare the guy i bought it from kept his bikes in perfect shape and he said he only tode the dunes off regency anyhow the only back ground he gave me was that he went to back up then tried to take it out of reverse it stuck and so he replaced the engine i wouldnt mind tinkering with it but have no background on these engines but i will probably learn real quick and reall soon just got power in my shed and i may start to tear it down and i will post details and maybe pictures of my find

Check out ym350.com. They are all about Warriors and are an active forum. They have a lot of active members that know everything about your quad. Also get yourself a Clymer service manual from Amazon. Good luck.
