1990 honda fourtax 2x4 ball joints

hey there, I have a 90 fourtrax 2x4 and the ball joints are bad. Is there anything I can do short of buying the whole control for couple hundred $?
could I make the 4x4 ball joints work?

Ball Joints are sold seperatly for around 30. Not sure why you would need to replace the whole knuckle?
