Raptor350, You are a kid growing like a weed. That is why you heal so quickly. Ricky is a little older and will take longer to heal. I am 39 I broke my collar bone when I was 36. I had a good seperation of the bones. The first Doctor wanted to do surgery. I went and got a second opinion and he said it will grow back you just have to wait it out. I was in a sling for 12 weeks. Then I did my own theropy when it was removed because I lost 80% movement in my arm. In 3 weeks I was up to 90%. The Doctor was amazed. he released me then. So, it took me 15 weeks to get back in it. Also I feel 100% like it never happened. Hope you get better soon!!

Allow me to ellaborate. I broke it back in early June. The Doctor said I had 2 choices, I could operate and put a plate or wait it out to see if the bone will grow okay. After a few weeks the was growing wrong. So the miracle didn't happen. I am a little pissed b/c I have to start all over and longer time off the bike. Well, I rode before the operation but don't tell my wife. Hahaha!
Actually feels like I am recovering faster with the plate. I am already off pain killers 3 days after, surgery. Movement is the scary part. How close to normal will it be? And how prone is it to break again after recovery?
