I read it somewhere before but could someone tell me what is the point of blocking off the parking brake?

What is the point of having a parking brake on a sport?

I see no other point to take it off other than to clean up the look of the handle bars, and to lose a few ounces of weight.

Black wheels, plastics, some shiny chrome pieces. Left over dirt from last year, handle bars.

No need for a parking brake in my opinion. My back brake used to hang up on occasion so of it came and no more brake hang ups.

As all have mentioned...it cleans up the bars (helps get rid of the Blob) and also keeps the brakes from hanging up creating drag thus slowing you down.

Take a look at mine and Ty's over Thanksgiving weekend.
