What a great weekend. Pretty fair attendance, not enough people to retire from...but can pay some bills  Grin

No real disasters, plenty of people having fun, nobody hurt too badly, not too many acting like fools and I only got grumpy and shouted at people twice (which is somewhat of a record for me).

People were trickling in all day Friday, we spent most of the day fixing stuff (what's different there  Sad ) started with a bad track on the dozer, causing some fast urgent attention to the skid steer...thanks to all those that helped getting that running cool again. The water truck was brought back into commission..thanks to Downtown FUB for the cool new feature (air operated sprayer head)...it worked awesome. Just ask Jeckles

Track was in great condition for Saturdays race...we had about 50 quads and a few dirtbikes enter, and it led to some awesome racing...both for the fans and the racers alike.

MX Race Results Are Here: http://www.atvflorida.com/forum/index.php/topic,42840.0.html

We delayed sign up for a little (more on this later) and this led to the rest of the day being back to back, late and very busy. The barrel race was done in front of the mx track tower and was awesome. We had 25 entries in the barrel race ~ results were:

Kids:
1: Alan Register
2: Parker Merrill
3: Josh Watson

Adult:
1: Chillin
2: Downtown FUB
3: Jason Watson

The next event was the parent/kid water race, we had 22 teams (44 people) participate in this. The results are:

1: Landen Caccamis
2: Josh Watson
3: Matthew (LIttle Chillin) Watson

Next was straight on to the drag racing, we had 38 people competing. Results are as follows:

Kids 90cc:
1: Kaleb Ackerman
2: Hunter Heidz

Kids 250cc:
1: Alan Register
2: Daniel Rohe

Adult:
1: Chillin
2: Alan Greer
3: Kristi Caccamis

The scavenger hunt was won by Stephanie George. The kids costumes were awesome, they were all winners, but we had to pick 3..the winners were:

1: Indian Girl
2: Werewolf
3: Clark "Superman" Kent.

On Sunday we had yet another late start ( Shocked ) for the XC race. Turned out to be a great race though, we started sign up with only 3 entries, but by holding on for a few extra minutes, we ended up with 24 racers. The youth class never finished as one of the racers had an accident and the others stayed with them until the medic arrived...so props to them. The peewees and adults results are:

Peewees:
1: Chris Eckles
2: Josh Watson
3: Ryder Ondish

1: Chillin
2: John "Da Bomb" Plankey
3: Travis "step up" Brown.

The relay race fell apart down to our suckness and our teams lack of any coercion.  Huh

Thanks to all the helpers, thanks to everyone that came out...I hope you enjoyed it.

On a side note: I heard the usual grumblings about the times we start the events. Quite frankly it is getting a little old. We try and give everyone a good time and make sure the majority of people get a chance to compete in as much as possible. Sometimes circumstances mean the events don't go off exactly the time we hoped. Normally the only people this really inconveniences is Bill, Matt and myself, while we don't expect a medal, you have to remember that we started watering the track Saturday at 6 am & because of a few delays (none of which were caused by us) none of us took a break until around 8.30 pm. I don't care that we didn't get to eat lunch or sit down for a minute, but quite frankly we can do without all the snide comments. Take for example the XC race, at the allotted time there was 3 racers, by holding out for a few minutes we got the number up to around 24. Please bear in mind that we are trying to give as many people as good of a time as possible.

The other thing is if you have an opinion about the way an event is being run, we don't mind discussing it calmly AFTER the events are over...we welcome suggestions, but quite honestly arguing at the start/middle of an event is not the right time. We do things that we think best protect us/you but still offer the fairest and most fun time.

Rant over....hope you had a great time, the dry trails were dry, the wet swamp trails were wet and I know lots of people enjoyed themselves. I know we did.

Second: Thank you Regina for the use of your bike, and Rick for letting me tag along. The wet trails were wet and perfect condition....
Third: Paul, Matt and Bill you all know you rock.. Put on a great time as always... Wish we could get up there more often..

Don't feel to bad, someone else took out an even bigger section of fence.  Shocked

Truthfully you know that as long as the girls were ok, that's all that is really important  Wink We can buy new fence posts, plex wouldn't be the same without Tater or Hanna Montana.

Our crew had a great time as usual. I drank too much broke the YFZ again (easy somewhat cheap fix) and seen faces not seen in a while. Now time to fix the yfz and replace the campers floors. Wont make december but will be there for the endurance race.

I have a complaint.

Chillin wins everything he enters. That's not fair to everyone else. From now on, he should be forced to compete with a flat left rear and flat right front.

I think he should lose 10 secs per event if you don't show up with him.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, come to think of it...have you two ever been seen together  Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided You are not his alter ego are you...kinda like your Miley and Chillin is Hanna

He's got bigger boobs but my butt looks better in jeans. Other than that....we're identical.

Hey, I've sent my bike up a few times without me! Don't I get partial credit for that?  Wink
