Great Labor Day weekend, the attendance was good, reminded me of one of the features of old, prior to the economy tanking.

It was a great weekend of fun, racing, riding, drinking, socializing & eating.

Everyone was having fun riding all weekend, but there was some great racing going on too.

MX, the main event was won by Jeremy Lawson (one of the top 10 ranked riders in the world), he was given a run for his money for a lap or 2 by ex national champ Mike Walsh.

Nice to see the guys from Modded Motosports make the trip...their guys did pretty well too.

There was some great racing in all the classes...thanks to all who rode.

The drag racing didn't quite go as planned, we were looking for an all Outlaw final, but Courtney on a 450 kinda spoiled that by beating both the Outlaws on her way to the win.

Next up was the barrel racing, which was won by Downtown Chris Brown, we all missed Hershall going all turtle on us flipping over his RZR because of the cloud of dust he made.

BBQ went fine, the poker run was well attended and we gave out $300, it was a bit poorly organized though (my fault) and will figure out a better way to do it in future.

Night riding was epic, I know a bunch of guys went out on sport bikes, a large group of us went into the swamps at about 10pm & it was pretty much water up to the rack non stop (except for potti breaks) water till we quit at about 2am. No swamp , creek or pond was too deep for us. There was not a clean foot left in the group. There is no place better than the motoplex swamps at 1am with a group of friends, period.

Sunday started early with a great Cross Country race, we started with the peewees who rode solidly for a half hour, then the adults who raced as many laps as possible for an hour and a half.

Thanks to all that came.

For his first race on a quad he was doing real well...been an interesting finish if he hadn't broke the sprocket.
