(copied from my post in FTR)

Ok, What my question is, are the courses set up with markers, not a strict trail to ride on, but fastest through the woods type thing? I asked this in another subject, but no one gave me a direct answer.

When the flag is dropped, how does a race start out?

I plan on racing quad C class. I also see there are 31 riders..That is ALOT of people trying to get the holeshot.. Do they all start at the same time, or do  different groups go out on different clocks?

Thanks for looking, I look forward to meet you all in person and on the track.

The course is marked, and you take off in rows according to your exp. fastest leave first and so on, last year we had to run to our quads from about 10 yds. jump on, crank it up, and leave.
Most of the race is through the woods with some open sections thrown in at various places, I think that for the 2005-2006 season we have to sit on our quads with our hands on our helmet and when you hear the siren sound off you crank up and leave.
For next year you have to have a kill switch hooked to you that is why the starting prcedure has changed, any questions just ask!!!!

Yep men, there is a strict trail through the woods and like FTRVET all of the tracks are different, but they all have thight woods and open areas as well, in three of the races last year a MX track was added to the trail track.

And about the take off, as far as I understand, on the quads new series, kill switch will be mandatory and we will take off just like GNCC sitting on the quad with the cord attach to you, but I don't know on the regular series.

I hear you can go 20ft off course. Most trails are wide enough for two quads.  I want to make it out to a couple races.

What is usually the price of the events?  Me being 17 I will be driving myself with my quad in the back with minor tools for  minor adjustments.

Do my parents have to be there the day of the race? They are on a very busy schedule but I am sure they could make it to a majority of the races.

If all goes well, I look to seeing everyone on the track in August!

At 17 you will need to have a legal guardian present to sign up and race.
