What's the difference between Picayune Strand and Badluck? Are they the same area?

I've been to Picayune Strand before and now I hear it has been shut down and they're turning it into some kind of nature preserve, is that correct? Thanks =)

badluck and 56 and the squares are all in Picayune Strand staet park
