That's right............ Dirty Foot Mud Ranch will be completing the drag strip late tomorrow. The drag strip is 20' wide (10' per lane) and 1000' long. The actual track is 300' long for racing, 400' long for shut down and another 300' long for those really fast bikes that need more than 400' to slow down. It will be maintained daily. There will be stakes dividing the lanes and identifiers for the start and end. Currently they will not have a starting tree or scoring.......after the owners see some support to the facility he then will invest in one. Along with the drag strip there is also 30 miles of dry, FLAT trail riding, a small mx track, an oval sand track, drag racing in the mud pits and a completely separate area to mud trucks. The trucks WILL BE separate for the atv's no worries about getting ran over. For more info please contact them at www.dirtyfootmudranch.comMy group will be out there the weekend of July 23-25. We will have several 450's, 400's and 250's (all quads) and also some rzr's out on the drag strip...who else plans on coming out?  |

Would you consider it a good place to get some XC practice in or is fast trail riding frowned upon? Any rough and tight spots?

They have open (no trees) and not so open (trees everywhere) trails. I would say some are slow and technical but not too many most can be ridden fast. The owner plans on cutting in some more trails shortly but currently he has about 30 miles of trails.

Sounds like we will not be having any of those FAST 400's this weekend!!! So now the rest of us can come out not not worry about having our ___'s to us by those boys. So who is up for some racing?

OH I forgot to say we will be back out their the weekend of Aug 6.So if you can make it please come out and teach me how to drag race so I stop getting beat.If Yamaha finds out how much I lose they may come take the atv from me.LOL |

A little disappointed I was looking forward to all them sand drag racers coming out.This is something I don't do that often and was looking to learn something.But I still had fun racing with the guy's that where there.Sorry I was so slow and kept getting beat by the really fast guy's but maybe I will get the hang of it. Our the guys that talk about racing all the time will come out next time, so I can get some pointers. But if they come out I hope there fast cuz that LTR and YFZ with paddles where move'n out...  I did not see paddles on your yfzR  I am sure glad those 400's did not show up  Lots of action at the strip this weekend...hopefully the word will get out and then they can start up some events!!!!!!!!! |

I wish I coulda made it there, you guys woulda seen a 400ex that beats your 450s.
We should try to get a group scheduled to go out there and just have fun, I could give you guys some good tips for drag racing.
But the tips are for purpose built atvs, you could switch it back and fourth from drag racing to mx or trails easily but it takes some wrenching.
If I went there I would be stricktly drag racing, cant switch mine up that quick...lol.
