if your just looking for a little kick in the rear, get and 8inch bazooka since you dont listen to rap. If you want an all around system thats not to expensive but sounds really good , i would suggest an Orion Cobalt 500.5 which is a 5 channel amp which is set up for running an entire system, then the 8inch bazooka, and i would go with pioneer speakers all around . thats just my opinion and suggestion. allthough i was the manager of sound advise in the stereo department for sometime.

if you want you can get a decent 4 channel amp, run 2 of the channels to your door speakers, and combine the other 2 into a mono sub channel to something like a bazooka or a small box with an 8 or 10 in it between the seats.

I agree with Dirty, the Bazooka speakers give it a little thump. I have a 94 Ranger and i am putting in 3 Memphis 10's so it has some Real thump, but i listen to all that Rap. Go check out you local stereo shop and see what they suggest. Also pioneer speakers are good too, But i like Alpine better.
Good luck with your system.

I personally think bazookas sound hollow and are junk. You would be better off with a regular sub in a sealed enclosure. As far as space goes, I put 2 10"s in a standard cab ranger before.
Also, every type of music has bass in it. I genarally listen to more country than anything else and I have 4 12"s in my car. That's my 2 cents worth.

Dont buy that bazooka crap. Just buy 10" Woofer and a mono-amp. Go to Circuit City and listen to all their subs, and amps. That will give you a better idea. In my truck now I have a 4 channel Eclipse Amp powering 2 Pioneer door speakers, and 2 Memphis Audio rear speakers. I just bought a new Audiobahn Amp 2 channel. I bridged it, and its powering a 10" Memphis Sub. Sounds great.
