I am and am considering racing the SSQAS XC event on Feb 20th. I read online that the track will start on the MX course and then go into the woods and I read that motoplex has two MX courses advanced and intermediate with all the jumps being table tops on the intermediate track.

Which MX track will the XC course use and how much? The reason I ask is I don't care for MX track riding and not real big into jumping and with the my travel being 4 hrs from central Florida I am trying to determine if I should try this event?

Very little...if any at all.

I like to use the start for my xc starts, little table, another table, small double then large table...then into woods for the laps and never on the track again. You are on the track for about 30 seconds.

Being that we are also hosting the ssqsa mx race the following day, I will probably work out a different start however and keep the track open for mx praxtice only.  Wink

Hey Pete! good to hear from you. Back is doing good. hope all is going well for you, how's the Canondale doing? I'll drop you a line if I end up going and we can catch-up at the race! Thanks for the thumbs-up on Motoplex, the wife is nervously on board right now so I really need to have the first few events go off as injury-free as I can make them!

I blew up the dale at the 8 hr race and my new race motor is ready to pick up and i should be ready for that race, the cool thing about the plex is you can ride the trails before the race any weekend, it might not be exactly the "race" layout but you will get a good feel of the type of track you are dealing with, a very rider friendly facility,
