as of 2010 dcmx will be raising the age for the senior class to 35yrs old and up....so if theres any of you older guys looking for a safe place to race here you go....if i can get 6 committed riders that are 25 yrs old (or older) to pre enter or get a sponsor for all 19 rounds i will help with a class for you guys...the reason we need pre entries,if only 2 or 3 guys are committed all season it takes away from the other classes come banquet time..i already have 2 willing so if you are over 25 and dont want to race the novice class call me 352.303.5122 and i will make this happen..thanks

I might run both of these instead of the sponsor cup, 10 laps is way to much to run.

Eric, 10 laps that run roughly 50 seconds/lap means you are doing 9-10 minutes of racing in one moto. You run a 4 or 5 lap race on a longer track ex. thundercross, motoplex, reddick etc. your putting in the same amount of time. I know you made some decent money last year in the Sponsor Cup series. Why would you leave?

i have two confirmed riders for the 25 plus, need 4 more and it is a go.....im with eric 5 laps and a break then 5 more laps sounds like much less of a beating, although i do believe eric has some wins still in him in the sponsor cup class.....

That 10 minutes of racing is more intense than running 6 to 8 laps on a larger track, you don't get any breaks out there like on a larger track. Plus the dirtbike sponsor cup runs 10 laps and thats on 2 wheels which is easy to do and they get paid 3 times as much as us. I don't understand you kids sometimes when we voted to raise the laps from 8 to 10, first off why run more laps and don't receive any more compansation. This makes no sense to me because it gives the national riders and high dollar race teams an avantage and with that being said will lower the participation of other riders to enter. I would love to double dip and run 2 classes like sponsor cup and 35 plus and I'm sure many other riders would to but after running 10 sponsor cup laps makes this feat nearly impossible. If you make the races shorter they will be more intense and more exciting to watch, usually all the action happens with in the first 6 laps anyways so why abuse our pricey equipment anymore than we have to. I personally think we be lucky to get 12 sponsor cup riders to sign up this year, after all it wasn't designed to be a pro-am class.

I would sign up for sponsor cup if it was 6 or 7 laps. But Eric is right... 10 laps on that track is like 6 on any other for me.
At 36 years old, this new class seems more interesting to race. I would not be able to commit to all the races for sure, but
would race them when I do go to Dade.
