Uncle John is going to be in North Carolina this coming weekend and the following weekend. He spoke to Ed Salley who is promoting Orangeburg Motoplex  http://orangeburgmotoplex.com/FLATTRACK.html
There is going to be a double header at Orangeburg and Midcarolina Speedway at Neeses, SC. Both races are afternoon races with Orangeburg on Friday Nov. 27 and Neeses on the 28th and the tracks are only about 20 miles apart. You can check the above link. Ed's phone number is listed on the home page if you care to contact him directly.

He indicated that 6 riders plus Uncle John from Florida will be there. He wasn't sure who the other riders were. He said that Woody Kyle will be there and probably Dave Aldana.

Ed also indicated that he would be interested in a Southern States series if there was enough interest. I know it is a long haul for a lot of us but if they coupled back to back races on scheduled weekends it could work.

That sounds pretty cool. I may be interested if I can find a trailer we can load with bikes and a few people to chip in on fuel for the motorhome.

I spoke with Kenny Coolbeth's Dad and he said that Kenny will be attending the S.C. Races. That should be cool to watch. Hmmm, I wonder what other expert riders will show up. Shawn you better bring your A game.   Bump   Can't wait to watch.

Hey Matt
You are welcome to use my trailer. It has wheel chocks for 2 bikes but room for 3 if you have another chock.

I just spoke with the Florida Wrecking Crew. Florida is represented well in the Carolinas. Shawn McNary, Pat Golley, Ray Delacqueseaux, Troy Otto, Pat Spahn, Matt Sibbick, David Hill, John Simes and Merritt Clark. Most of them are riding two classes too. Large 1/4 mile track with wide sweeping turns and very smooth. Am mad I didn t go with them  Sad

We are just back from the S.C. races and I will tell you it was a great trip. 5 of  us Shawn, Pat, Troy, Ray, and I all loaded up in my RV and off we went to see if we had what it takes. It was a great weekend with great racing. The turn out was a bit light on Friday and Saturday but the racing was great. We arrived and soon after more of the Florida crew arrived. David, Pat, Merritt, Merritts Dad, And John S. I hope I got everyone.
I for one had a great time and learned a bunch. Weather was good, a bit chilly but good. Tracks were nice. No one was hurt, and the RV did not break down. What more can I say. I look forward to getting all of us together for Daytona this year and Dequion in the summer.
Thanks to my wife who was supporting to say the least. Leaving on Thanksgiving Day was tough but worth it.

I just want to say who ever did not go to SC missed some really great racing. I had forgot what it is was like to race on a real flattrack. I am not saying anything is wrong with our Florida tracks, I am VERY thankful we have them, but wide sweeping turns...WOW!!!!! The highlight of my Saturday's race was during practice, this blurr came around me on the outside in turn 3 and 4 and for 20 ft I was able to run beside Kenny Coolbeth.  The Florida team had a strong showing and I think everyone had a great time, I know Pat and I did. We are planning on going back again before Daytona. Thanks Shawn and the rest of the guys for some great racing.
