Turbodef

It is a great deal.

First off, I am not trying to compete with Croom. Our place is totally different from croom, some ways much better, some ways not as good. My membership fee covers camping and gives discounts off event weekends.

Let me just say, we are actively encouraging visitors to come on a feature weekend. There is no need to get a membership to come on a feature weekend. The general public is welcome to come on feature weekends, pay the usual $30 entry fee and enjoy tons of events for you & your kids. You can ride all night and have a ton of fun. Our next feature weekend includes a BBQ cookoff & a fireworks show.

If for instance you ride a sport quad, where else can you go pay $30 for 3 days, ride all day and night, have the choice of 3 tracks to ride on, miles of one and two way trails, compete in a drag race, an mx race & a xc race for no additional race fee or whatever, all for less than $30 including camping for all 3 days?

The mud guys are getting the same value to, we have mud trails, creeks, swamps, 4 different mud pits and tons of mudding competitions to watch or participate in, for $30 for the whole weekend too.

Have kids, they can compete in a drag race, a peewee race, an obstacle course race & a tt race. I guarantee your kids will have more fun riding at the motoplex feature weekend, than anywhere else.

If you were coming all the way from the south, I would expect you to come on one of the fun event weekends, where no membership is required. We are not expecting to sell memberships to people that live so far away they can only make the journey a couple of times a year. I would prefer them to come on a feature weekend, just because I know how much fun they are.

I have had a bunch of people sign up already, the memberships are being sold to regulars who want to come and use the facility on non feature weekends. They are all people who regularly come to features, so with the discount we give, the membership really becomes very cheap.

After taking the feature discount into consideration, membership is as low as $23 per person per year (worked out on a family of 4 buying a family membership and coming to 6 features per year). $23 per person per year to come and camp, use the showers and facilities and ride all of our trails, 2 of our tracks, all of our water features, for 325 days a year don't seem like a bad deal.

It's pretty hard to keep an atv park open every week in this State. I am keeping our big track open at least 3 days a week, but the trails are usually pretty dead. I was thinking of just opening up the trails for feature weekends, but the membership idea, gives people a chance to come on their own for very little expense.

Just to reiterate too, no membership is required for feature weekends or to use the main track.

No disrespect, but your statement is pretty strong considering you are totally unaware of ANY of the facts or situations that prompted this move.

I would have said those same exact words.  Only if he were offering everything for free though.  Wink

Its a great deal for anyone living near the plex.  Some would prefer to take the family camping on non feature weekends to better enjoy the park, as the crowds, dust, noise at night would all be less. I wont join because its a 4 hour drive for me and I dont get the chance to go often enough.
Paul has done a great job with the park and I am WAY overdue for a trip up to see all the new improvements.  This is Floridas first and ONLY ATV park and anyone that has not been really should make the trip. The Motoplex is a LOT better than those places that are nothing more than money hungry ranch owners opening up a wet pasture for mud/cow pie slinging. Those places charge the same amount and give you very little for your $$.
Thanks, Paul for all your hard work. Clapper

You are absolutely right on both counts; the comment is strong and I don't know your business considerations.  However, I do know that turning away business for ANY reason (save the person creates a hazard) is not good in the long run.  It's hard to comprehend a policy that sends perfectly good money looking for a different place to ride.  If the 'Plex is open and somebody stops by to check the place out, quads loaded and everybody ready to ride, are you really going to turn them away because they don't have a membership?  It doesn't make dollars or sense.  BTW, I join Chillin in applauding your hard work.  Wish the 'Plex wasn't so far away because I wouldn't mind checking it out.

Hey Paul! great offer, always wanted to go to the plex, but for regular riding weekend but not being a member kills it. Live around 2 and 1/2 hrs away  :banghead.gifand would have liked go riding on a none feature weekend. Don't know anybody to go with riding who will do MX and trails, so my wife and two daughters (non-riders) always go with me, but the idea of a crowded feature weekend doesn't sound too great for them.
Still the membership is great and if I've lived closer, I'll be in. Live near Hardrock MX here in Ocala and I wish they would come with something like this.

Keep the great work and if you could come up with something for people that lives far from plex, I'm sure it's going to be welcome. And those of you that live near the Plex, take advantage of this great deal !!!! Thumbs Up

You can always come up on the Sunday of a feature weekend. No membership required & it's only $15.00 for the day, and most people have left or are leaving Sunday morning Wink
