Yamaha released the 2006 model line.  New Raptor 700, aluminum frame, fuel injected.  improvements to the yfz including upping to 449cc and lots of other tweaks...supposedly 80 changes to the yfz this year.

Holy cow, Yamaha is the champ. Also in Dirtbikes they got best 125,250f,250(arguable), hopefully with the new frame/5 speed tranny 450.

last year a yfz450 was faster than a trx450. i hope yamaha fixed the thumb throttle on the 450 that thing is crazy it makes your thumb hurt after 5 laps.

Finally, I have been thinking this since I got my yfz 450 but didn't ever say anything because I didn't want to look like a "girl". It is soo much harder to hold the throttle wide open on my yfz 450 for 5 laps compared to my z400. I heard there is a spring that you can cut that makes it easier. If anybody has more info on this let me know!

Thanks for posting those up. I really appreciate it and I am really glad i am not the only one that feels this way. It's like they were saying it isn't bad just cruising around or joy riding for 1 or 2 hours but racing is a whole nother story.
