How about that hero pilot and those true hero first responders saving all 150 of those people? Don't dare tell me that's just their jobs, they're Heros!

Just got home a little while ago and have not seen it yet. What caused the plane to go down?

That was good news to hear everyone was ok!! None of those cops or first responders are "morons" like some on here think.

Hopefully they do not have activists up there like we do down here....I mean if so all flights will have to be redirected in order to protect the damn geese.... oh and lets not forget about the air...
Rant over

I think the pilots are heros and the passengers should all be thankful for them!!

I'm thinkin' it's 2008 and we're still designing passenger jets that can be taken-out by geese? I'd prefer to drive and be taken out by a moron. The news agencies are showing other "water landings" from the past. In all other cases, the planes broke up upon hitting the water and killed most of the people.

...they got lucky on that one because the water was calm, if it would have been choppy then it most likely would have broken up!! Wink

Just watched 60 Minutes' interview with Flight 1549's crew, passengers and their families. AWESOME does not even describe it. If you missed it, you missed one of the greatest stories we've seen in several years. When Katie Couric asked the pilot if he felt like a hero, he said he that after hearing thanks from all of the crew, passengers and their families, he "wouldn't diminish their joy by denying it". He said, he's now, "convinced more than ever that people want some good news, they want to be hopeful". We can all use some of that, today!
