Does anyone have a electric gate opener at their place similar to what you would see at the entrance of some gated communities? My parents live on three acres out in Lakeland and they're getting up in age so I would like to install one for them. They have to get out of there car and struggle with the gates they currently have and after they pull in they have to walk back and struggle again to close them. I'm thinking of the sliding gate opener as opposed to the swinging gate opener. Hs anyone installed either and are they expensive or complicated to install?Any advice would be appreciated.Thanks.

A co-worker of mine had his large yard fenced in and had an electric gate installed as well.
They told him to get the type that swings open and closed.
The type that roll back and forth give you more problems and repairs.
That's what they told him, he's had it now 5-6 years with no problems yet.
It's a wide one to.
