I just bought a new ATV this week and am looking for a good place to ride.  I would like to do some trail riding and mud/water is always fun.  I would like to bring my 7 year old with me so I would be riding double (purchased the cargo box with the rear seat).  Open to any/all suggestions.  The place in Waycross looks really cool, is that place to open to ride on if you pay the fee?
Thanks in Advance.

You need to get to MOTOPLEX....

Less than 90 minutes away (way less) and perfect environment for the family.  TOO MANY events to list that involves the family.  GREAT PLACE and GREAT OWNER....

Theres mud, mx tracks, hills, trails, open play areas, drag strips and CAMPING!!!!

Make sure you check out that link.....

This may be the last time you ask for a place to ride because once you go you will not want to ride any where else

Chuck_Norris doesn't ride bikes.  He stands still and the earth moves under his feet.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Went out there today and had a great time.  Even managed to get my Rincon stuck and then unstuck.  I now have 25 miles on the bike...

It's 98 miles from I-295/I-95 tpo our exit, then 5 miles from the exit. Takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes when we go to Jax.

"A lot of mud to play in", OMG after fay came and went, there is tons of mud there. Our swamps are full to the brim.  Grin

Paul is righ, there was plenty of mud and water to play in.  I did not get into much of it because it was just me and my 4 year old and i do not have a winch yet.  the trails were fun and seem to go on forever.  i put 25 miles on the bike in about 4 hours.  i live over by the Oakleaf Town Center and it was 96 miles, pretty much all of which was I-10.

I am planning on taking my 12 year old there this Saturday but I see its a event weekend.    Are event weekends mostly for adults?  Should I wait to take him another time?  Also, I see they have night rides.  Are they guided or just go by yourself?

Thanks and sorry for asking here.  I registered a few days ago with the plex's site but haven't got my response yet validating my username/password.

Hi Randy

Sorry about the registration thing, we are getting bombarded with spam at the moment, I am going to upgrade the forum to put in a validation box soon.

Please attempt to re register and I will keep an eye our for your screen name.  Wink

This coming weekend is not a good weekend to come out. We have a Gold Cup MX race and are expecting around 400 entries, which will bring around 2,000 spectators/supporters etc. It's going to be very busy.

The following weekend is one of our feature weekends, we open Friday during the day and stay open until Sunday night.

The feature weekends are very much kid friendly weekends. We have tons of kids and grown up events. All the kids that come and participate get trophies. We normally have an obstacle course race, a peewee mx race and a peewee drag race. Many times we have spontaneous events, like barrel racing for the kids and adults too.

Night rides are escorted or you can go by yourself. Two different friendly groups go off on either wet mud or 2wd dry routes and you are free to join either group, or venture out on your own.

Night rides are permitted on feature weekends only.

Here is a copy of the October feature weekend flyer:
