Even if you are only mildly religious, this is enough to p*$$ you off.

http://www.barackobama.com/issues/ Scared? I'll tell you what's scary. This thread is yet another example of how desperate the fear-mongerers are that they have to mischaracterize Obama and the libs at every opportunity, instead of debating the economy, oil, education, healthcare reform, national security, etc.. I fully understand that this fear mongering is exactly what made the difference in the last 2 elections. However, I believe it's now causing a voter backlash. For example, 18 million people voted for Hillary. After the past 8 years of hearing this fear and loathing, I don't know of a feminist or liberal, fanatic or not, who'd be swayed by this youtube skit and the other non-issues. I believe the people who continue to spew this fear and loathing are forcing people to lean the other way!

Look at the topic titled "Faith" under the link you posted.  The video I posted hardly illustrates a man of faith or one who respects those of the Christian/Judeo Faith.   It's another example of this man's endless hypocrisy.

Right from his website. All racial issues and helping the criminals not be punished for the crimes they committ, especially drug crimes.

Strengthen Civil Rights Enforcement
Obama will reverse the politicization that has occurred in the Bush Administration's Department of Justice. He will put an end to the ideological litmus tests used to fill positions within the Civil Rights Division.

Combat Employment Discrimination
Obama will work to overturn the Supreme Court's recent ruling that curtails racial minorities' and women's ability to challenge pay discrimination. Obama will also pass the Fair Pay Act to ensure that women receive equal pay for equal work and the Employment Non-Discrimination Act to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.

Expand Hate Crimes Statutes
Obama will strengthen federal hate crimes legislation, expand hate crimes protection by passing the Matthew Shepard Act, and reinvigorate enforcement at the Department of Justice's Criminal Section.

End Racial Profiling
Obama will ban racial profiling by federal law enforcement agencies and provide federal incentives to state and local police departments to prohibit the practice.

Reduce Crime Recidivism by Providing Ex-Offender Support
Obama will provide job training, substance abuse and mental health counseling to ex-offenders, so that they are successfully re-integrated into society. Obama will also create a prison-to-work incentive program to improve ex-offender employment and job retention rates.

Eliminate Sentencing Disparities
Obama believes the disparity between sentencing crack and powder-based cocaine is wrong and should be completely eliminated.

Expand Use of Drug Courts
Obama will give first-time, non-violent offenders a chance to serve their sentence, where appropriate, in the type of drug rehabilitation programs that have proven to work better than a prison term in changing bad behavior.

yunt, we're all scared and there's good cause on both sides. All I'm saying is that when we focus on issues other than the current economy, war, healthcare reform, education, etc. and, instead, attempt to scare people to our side of the equation it's going to eventually drive people to the other side. I fear it's happening in this election, as evidenced by how many people have already voted for Hillary and Obama in the primaries! People on both sides are sick and tired of the exaggerated persoanl drama. Did you actually read any of the things you cut and pasted from that website? Did you intedn to write it all off as being racial and/or pro-criminal?

Obama's record speaks for itself...

*Voted YES to allow ILLEGAL aliens to access OUR Social Security...
You know the same Social Security, that you and I, as legal citizens pay into each and every week!!!

*Voted NO to declare ENGLISH as the official language of the US GOVERMENT.
You know that language that all our forefathers, including the Indians, had to learn...  Didn't even want it to be the official language of the US GOVERMENT...  So what he want us to put all historical documents in spanish so everyone can read...  Well then what about creole, what about French, what about Itailian....

Voted NO to strengthen out borders with Mexico...
You know the border where people are just crossing in out of Mexico.  Ain't only Mexican's crossing that border.

Voted NO on making gang members "eligible" for the death penalty if they kill someone to help out their gang...
The Bill wasn't to make it automatic death penalty, was to make them eligible for the killing of someone just cuz a gang member said so....

Co-Sponsored, You know with his buddy Joe Biden, a Bill "Global Proverty Act".
This Bill would FORCE the President of the US to spend billions of $ on global proverty...  But yea your right, the hell with the war...  How about the freakin hard working people over here trying to make a living, oh yea, that's right, we are paying into Social Security to pay for the Illegals that dont...  Yea, you right this making perfect since to me...

Vote NO - Banning Partial Birth abortions...
I dont care what your stand is on abortion, but do a little research, partial birth abortion is MURDER, has nothing to do w/abortion...

Oh, yea, Co-Sponsored another bill, that your provide grant funding for financial assistance, health care, and education services, for what, NON-CITIZENS....   Hello,, anyone home....  Damn, were is my healthcare and education services....  Oh yea, that's right, being the CITIZEN I must continue to work so that they NON-CITIZENS can have it all...

Oh did you hear of the next Bill he wants to sponsor.....  "make it a felony for a gun owner whose firearm was stolen from his residence, which caused harm to another person, if said weapon was not securely store in ones home"....
Okay, let me get this straight...  As a CITIZEN don't I have the right to assume my home is SECURE, but as a CRIMINAL, I break into said house, still their gun, shoot someone with it, and cool, the person I stole it from is guilty too...

Obama endorses Illinois (you know the State whereas he is Senator) hand gun ban.

Yea, yea, I have said all this before, and could surely go on...  You know like, was against war in Iraq, but now says the surge was a success in Iraq. Ah, how do you have a surge in Iraq, w/o being in Iraq.

The FACTS are the FACTS....

It seems to me that is all racial issues. We are all supposed to be created equal, if so then why do we even have to have laws that govern race, Let the laws stand for everyone, not a certain party.

chero, the difference is that you've stated what you believe are facts. They're not just ignorant opinions. Your stated facts can be researched and verified or refuted. It's the blind hatred and blatant exaggeration/distortion of events that are turning voters to the dark side(no pun intended). It's evidenced by the tens of millions who've voted for Hillary and Obama in the primaries. I believe McCain wins the election as long as he and his party stick to the issues which matter most to voters, even if they stick to their unpopular stance on the Iraq war. The fact that McCain chose Sara Palin as his running mate is testimony that he's doing more than just listening to other opinions. That has NOT been the case during the past several years!

Honestly, I do the research..  I don't look at McCains Website or Obamas, I go the actual bills passed by each person, and it very easy to find...  Trust me I do bellieve there are things we need to change.  But when someone just keeps preaching change, change, change, well what is the change, what is the facts.  I am registered as an Independent...  Honestly, I don't vote on party-lines, I vote to which person best suits what I believe in.  And though no candidate will be my ideal candidate, I try to find the one that best suits what I believe in...  All I ask is for folks to look at the FACTS. If the FACTS are what you want, then by all means, vote that way...

I will say this.  I honestly feel that every election of President is important, this one is VERY important, and we need to be very smart in the candidate we choose...  Forget the hype, and look at the facts...  And honestly, if you look at the two candidates, sure Obama seems to be the better candidate..  Cause he has that charisma, there is something about him that draws people to him, obivously...  McCain on the other hand, don't have that, but he does have the facts to support him.  So don't look at the candidates as how they speak, or even what they say they are GOING to do, look what they have done...

And I totally agree, let's get away from the mud-slinging, "lip stick on a pig" stuff, let's look at the facts, and go from there..

Awesome point...

I want a President that is going to protect this Country.  So many put down our current President.  But you know what, I clearly remember how I felt this day in 2001.  We need a President, that even though, goes against popular opinion, the polls, but does what is best to protect this Country...  I know in my heart that our current President did just that.  Cuz I remember I how felt on 9-11-01.  Nothing like 9-11 has ever happen on our soil, to our Country, the only thing that comes close is Pearl Harbor...  And what was said by our enemy "we have awaken a sleeping giant"..  I don't want to make friends with our enemies, cuz that  is the worse kind of friends we can have.  We have to show we strong, we are united, and we will do whatever it takes to protect this Country that we love.

We all the other stuff is important, but first and foremost in my mind, is protecting the Freedom that we hold so dear.  Obama thinks many hate us cuz of how we act, no sir, many hate us cuz of our freedom.  As long as we have freedom, that endangers the terror they want on their own kind.  If you even think for a moment how many attacks where planned against this great Country that we live in since 9-11, trust me, it would make you wonder.  If you really think they only came over here to do what they did, than you are so sadly mistaken.  I want a President that is going to protect us, protect our borders, and support our Troups.  Think about it...  Every man and woman is over there because they wanted to be...  To me that says alot.  I bet you will not find many troups that do not feel differently that an I do.  And since they are more brave than I can ever be, and have more heart and love for this Country than I could ever imagine, I have to support that!

I bring this in now, that was originally posted by someone else, and thank you for posting this, but I think everyone needs to honestly take a moment and listen to this man.  Why, cause some gave some, and some gave all.  We at the least need listen to what they, our troops are saying....  So please take the time to listen!!!

Now tell me, how can disagree with this man!!!
