question-has anyone trailered their bike at the 12 position. is it ok or are you risking engine damage(4 strokes). just got a whole lot of bikes and little trailer space. if i 12 them i can fit a whole ot more. has anyone had experience with this or doesnt recommend it. please help.

You have to turn the fuel off, but I think the engine oil would leak into the air box. You could drain the oil first.

I would check back with your owner's manual-but I have trailered several times in the 12 position-no oil pressure-no oil leaking.  On my kaw it doesn't even require nor have a fuel off position.  The only time I believe you have to drain the oil is if you plan on storing it that way over an extended period of time!  My buddies polaris pred-the fuel line has to be shut off to trailer at the 12 o'clock position.  Any doubt you could also check with your local dealer.

I agree we travel with them like this with no ill effects. just turn the fuel off. you might see some fuel spill from the fuel cap

I trailered the 250 and 400 like that many miles and never had an issue. I did try to let them sit for a few minutes before starting to let any oil drain back down out of the top of the motor just to be safe.

when we stood our 400 ex this summer we turned the gas off and pulled that lil tuby thing out of the tank pinched the ends and tie wrapped them. gas was leaking out of that tuby thing so had to tie them off. But we stored them like that for a few weeks to. Just let them sit a few minutes before you ride.
Worked fine for us !!!!!!!!
